Let’s See Them Lunar Rock Tundras!

Installed a TRD Pro suspension on her this weekend!

 

I got the shell only a few months ago and haven't had any issues so far. We'll see when it starts to rain.
It's a Bynd4x4 and I paid $2,800 for the shell, rack, and install. He doesn't sell this shell for the 3rd gen Tundra anymore but he mentioned he's working on an improved one for the 3rd gen for the future.

 

What trim level is your tundra?

 

Mostly stock SR5. Cheapest tonneau and Chinese steps I could find on Amazon. And those are black wheel covers on the stock SR5 wheels.

So far I am loving the ride. Tires are quiet and smooth considering how burly they look.
Suspension lift rides great so far, turning radius is worse than stock, as is mileage but both those were expected.
Haven't had time yet to test off road, but really looking forward to it.

2024 Limited TRD Off-road with 4,500 miles on her so far! Picked up brand new in December 2023.

At just under 3,000 I got the mod itch that needed to be scratched.

Added Diamondback bed cover, Dobinson 3” lift, Icon billet UCA’s, 17” RRW Flow Form wheels & 35” BFG KO2’s. Almost went 37’s but glad I went 35s (no chopping).

After putting around 1,500 miles post lift I’m very pleased. Drive mostly around the city (stop and go, up and down hill) and logging around 13mpg tank averages. Handles great off road as I came from a 2WD Tacoma.

Love this color on these trucks. I just picked up a 23 Limited in my 2nd choice color - MGM. I was searching for a truck setup like this for awhile, but tough to find exactly what you want when buying used. Your gloss black fender flares...are those stock? I have the plastic ones as part of the TRD OR package, and prefer painted.

 

Anyone removed the A pillar black OEM vinyl on their Lunar Rock yet? I know there’s a thread on this somewhere but haven’t seen a Lunar with this removed. Thinking about it on mine.

 

Just picked up a new to me 2022 CrewMax OR in Lunar Rock. It was love at first sight!

It looks like most folks have done the colour matching moustache, which I’m leaning towards but would love to see if anyone has gone black?

Additionally, for anyone that’s gone the vinyl route, how’s it holding up? The overlays seem outrageously expensive!

Nice Setup, is that a GFC? I'm looking to buy a 3rd Gen and add a similar camper, but can't decide on 5.5 or 6.5 bed with the CrewMax. Looks like you have a little lift and bigger tires, how does it handle off road?

 

Thanks. Yeah, just got the GFC in March. I thought about the 5.5’ bed, but I haul a lot of gear, and people, lol. Dobinson 2/1 and 35’s,but got a bad batch of coils and ended up with 2/2, works out though. Does ok off-road, not very nimble, so damn wide and long. Pinstriping is unavoidable and the plastic skid plate on gas tank keeps dragging on rocks..should’ve gone 37s

 

24 SR5 ORP. King 3.0s IBPs, Total Chao UCA, Rear links, TRD Pro Front Sway Bar, and King rear sway bar endlinks. Goal is to be functional and almost a sleeper build. Will post more in the future.

 

Thems some beautiful trucks folks. Congrats one and all. I'm picking up my non hybrid 25' Limited Crew 6.5' TRD OR in Lunar Rock next week. Missing the limited power and limited premium option packages IMO.

 

Went with a magnetic gray mustache to match the limited trim. Couldn’t be happier
