Maybe I should've been more clear. CO does have some good tacos and taco trucks around. They just aren't as good as a so-cal Baja style taco. Which happens to be the only thing I miss about so-cal.

I'm glad to hear your trip had more family time than hs reunion time. I think @Blue Thunder said it best. 30 minutes max is all I would need to catch up and move on from people I went to hs with. I'd be fine with 5-10 honestly for most of them. I have a few friends from hs that I still stay in touch with and we get together annually and they are really the only ones I ever care to see anyhow.

Depending on how long the ferry ride is, that could be an option, but IDK what the firearm rules on ferries are either. Plus, I kinda want to see the natural beauty of the route on the way up. Definitely something to check out.

 

It is a beautiful ride either way you take it. When I did it we took the ferry on the way up and rode back through on the way down. If I recall I think the ferry was like 3 days. And I was also wrong about the port in WA. It was out of Bellingham.

 

Oof. 3 days on a boat is a bit much for me. I don't like big water.

To put it in perspective, I didn't even like driving over the bridge to Galveston when I was visiting family in Texas. Same reason I kayak on flat water, not rivers. I don't like feeling like I can readily drown, even if it's irrational.

A kind offer, but it'd be hard to pack a rifle on a bike. Pistols are much easier. Just not allowed up there, and definitely not allowed to be concealed.

 

I have a 14.5" barrelled 12ga that would fit in a saddlebag.

 

I am still kinda shocked that they let you guys have short barreled shotguns, but not pistols.
