Hi guys new here, I just bought a new to me 2019 TRd o/r crew cab. Love it, however something on the headlights bothers me. At night I can see black bean pattern it’s more noticeable on darker roads. It’s this normal for LED tundra lights? The headlights are OEM. The previous owner had them restored professionally they look brand new no sign of damaged or anything like that. Thanks in advance

You see black beam pattern? Can you elaborate what that means. Pictures would help.

I think you’re trying to say there’s a dead zone in your beams pattern. I have LEDs and I don’t notice a dead spot in their beam…

Pictures uploaded, you can see the black pattern I’m referring to. The previous owner had the headlights restore professionally before giving me the truck. Any ideas guys?? Thanks again

2019 are NOT LED, for them to be LED you need to either upgrade to Pro or Sport headlight and to do that you need a wiring harness from Ihacker here on the forum.

Those are not LED headlights on a 2019 and I think you mean TSS OR I could be mistaken but I am for sure the only way those are LED are if it is a Sport or a Pro. Or they have been changed and to do that you need a harness

also if you are trying to check your headlights you need to wait till dark thirty and find a business with a solid wall say like brick or the side of a building without anything else such as a shelf unit or windows.

19s came with LEDs. 18s came with LEDs. They were available on 18 TRD sport, Offroad, limited, platinum, 1794.

The Pro and Sport are the only ones I know of that came with LEDs.

That is why I put this down

“I could be mistaken but I am for sure the only way those are LED are if it is a Sport or a Pro”
I have never heard of a 19 TRD Offroad? And have never ever seen one. I thought they didn’t come out till 22. And I forgot about the platinum and limited. :)

but if you say they did then so be it??? Learn something new every day,,, sometimes.

The only 2019 TRD OR I know of is on the Tacoma I still say there is no 2019 TRD OR Tundra
I can not find a Tundra in 2019 TRD OR only in a Tacoma. They had a TSS OR Tundra.

All of those models were available starting in 2018, aside from the Pro. Which was not available until 2019.

someone needs to show me a 2019 TRD OR Tundra because the only ones listed are a Tacoma?

and there was an 18 Pro Tundra also

then why do folks have to get a pro headlight to change to LEDs and not a Platinum

somebody else chime in please I still say the LED headlights were the Sport and the Pro

got some things to tend to but I’ll check in later. Be safe out there. :)

Sorry. But you are all kinds of confused. 18 Pro was not produced. TRD Off-road is nothing new in Tundras. Check out the link below.

My 2019 trd OR had LED. You are incorrect.

    No, there was NOT.

2018 the Tundra got the TSS sensors (not to be confused with the bs "tss sport/off road" appearance package from gulf states toyota) and they did not have a Pro for that year. Best guess is because they were getting the radar tuned for the level that a Pro gets.

In any case, trd off road and trd Sport packages on a 2019 SR5 Tundra BOTH added the full LED headlights.

The Tundra worked differently in the previous gen, and was different than the Taco and 4runner in its trims. The TRD Sport and OR were packages that could be on SR5 and Limited trims.

Toyota did/does stuff really weird, so you cannot compare trims/options between models.

in line hurry up and wait!!

Was the TRD OR a Canada thing then?

I have never seen one or even heard of such a thing!! HA!:) They are all over now down here as of 22.

down South here was the TSS OR (correct as stated above) which always struck me as funny because it had 2WD. I always wondered why Toyota did that.

Southern states have a different distributor that does weird stuff. It's not Toyota, but the distributor. That TSS package crap is only from the one distributor (there are 3 Toyota distributors in the US) and it's just an appearance package.

As stated TRD OR is a package that was available on several trims in the previous generation.

TRD OR package has always been available on the Tundra. My 1999 build 2000 model FGT has the TRD OR package on it. My 2019 Limited CM also has the TRD OR package. And the LED headlights. I would like to see a pic of the OPs actual lights though.

My truck was not Canadian. Here's a pic that shows the SR5 badge and the TRD OR sticker.

The rest of the country has and knows about these. Your corner of the country is the odd part in this scenario.

Need a good pic of the lens, preferably from a few angles. My guess is they went overboard restoring them and put waves in the lenses.

Maybe? I'm operating from info provided that they're OEM because the TRD OR had them in 2019.
