What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Hey, sorry for the delay. Hard to get a photo but I'd say the driver sticks out 18" and the passenger 17". Its tough since the body panel isn't flat and the mirrors are angled, but with how I have mine adjusted I think I got an accurate number.

 

Took me about 7 hours for this project. Broke one bolt taking the old steps off. Some of that time was messing with the rock lights I had attached to the steps. I’m on the fence about the small gap between the steps and the body. I’ll probably modify the bracket slots so I can slide it closer to the body. But that’ll be another day. I do like it a lot more than the stock pontoon steps.

 

It sort of makes sense, I think? For trajectory from the driver's seat, but now I need to check mine. Will respond in the AM

 

My passenger mirror sits at a different angle as well, so it sticks out less than the driver's side...

 

Guzzled up some gas!

 

Added a full size spare - 34" (285/75r17) so it fit pretty easily.

Just wrapped up a trip back to CO- back in AZ for a while. Got plenty of nights in the woods while I was there. Getting tired of living in two states.

I'm running 5% all around (none on windshield) and no stops...yet. Some DPSers just wanna talk Tundras

 

he did compliment me on the truck and said the front end caught his attention so I guess if I would have gotten a ticket I could send the bill to steve @ ss built lol

but yea I have ran 5% since I got a license and thats only my second time someone has even said anything. I think it helps I have zero tint on the windshield.

 

You mentioned in an earlier post that you’re considering revamping your suspension. What are you looking at? I’m in the same spot…

100 Degrees ambient - NM desert air

Running 65mph ( I have a 8 inch lift and 37 inch tires ), AC ON LOW/ full fan (ice cold air)

 

No pics, but washed the grime from 2 weeks worth of shit weather off of it.

Got my new to me Tundra on Wednesday, and the past two days I’ve been toying around with ideas getting it ready for a week in the beach with limited money

 

Joined the bandwagon and installed a shift boot from Redline

 

I plan making a build thread soon.

Essentially its gonna be

front:
Extended travel king 2.5 with adjusters
TC uca
Gussets all around

rear:
2.5x12 custom kings
TC rear shock relocate
U748 deavers
King bump stops


Some other goodies too but thats the general gist of it.

I put my truck on rocks in moab more than I go fast so my build is focused on that.

 

Keeping or ditching the RAS?

 

I’ll have to hit you up when I head back north. I am in town quite often. Buddy owns one of the home decor shops on second st. If you see the store with the absurd raptor outside, thats one of my best friends lol. I’m usually parked next to him when I am in town!

Sounds killer. I’m considering u748s and Bilstein 8112/8100. I think @Downytide is running this setup with airbags for towing.

I will need UCAs. Had a great experience with JBA on my 4Runner, so may stick with them here.

 

He used some Ram Mount stuff. Post #95083. Mine is in the same area but I like my mount better lol.
