    You’re welcome

We stayed in GS for four days back in 2018. Ate here at least three times. The fact the reviews are still high and it survived Covid tells me it is still delicious.

When your 3yo 2nd cousin loves lizards, you go out to catch her one. (Don’t worry, it’ll be released later today after she sees it for a bit)

It was a decent trip. The weather was hot AF, so couldn’t venture out before the storm arrived. I am talking 95 degrees with 85% humidity. Nucking futs; instant swamp ass.

Return flight was a bit of a CF. My original flight on Friday was cancelled for the storm. My second flight, now on Saturday was cancelled as well. Not sure why other than maybe it wasn’t a daily flight so they didn’t have an aircraft available.

My third booking routed thru Taipei, Taiwan. Had a 3 hr layover which is just about right. Then my flight leaving Tokyo was delayed…3 hours! Landed and taxied past my connecting flight five minutes before it was scheduled to depart. Thankfully they delayed my connecting flight 20min cuz there were 6+ people on my flight headed to Seattle. Sprinted the maze, thru security and onto the airplane in about ten minutes.

In all that the only time I nearly lost my chit was when I found someone in my seat on the connection flight. She was not paying attention and sat down one row too early. Same seat; no harm no foul…I took her seat. But for a sec I thought they’d oversold the flight and I was phuked since I was last…

And I am a lucky mofo. My BinL and his fam were on a flight from NY maybe 10-15 min behind mine. Because of the rain storm that hit just as I landed in Seattle they circled for 45min and then landed in Boise. Return flight didn’t get them home until 3am this morning. Ouch

So the travel sucked and the weather kept you holed up in your hotel. That's a bummer.

Had a lot of great family time. Many flew in from NY, and drove in from other parts of the state. I spent a lot of time with my (2nd) cousin. She’s 3, with autism. She has my heart. I made sure she was able to hold the lizard I caught outside for her, and gave her a few more lizard and Paw Patrol toys. (I did last time too.) Spent more time with my grandmother- which is always a bonus as her days are numbered.

Found a record in my storage unit yesterday. Bought it when I was 16. Original Warner green label press. No scratches. Probably worth a few bucks 52 years later....

We had a class of 700. Out of these, only 50’ish tickets were sold to include +1. Maybe 20 showed up. I recognized three people. Some recognized me. One came up to me saying he’s been wanting to say thank you to me since HS. Apparently, some bigger guy I hung out with (I do remember that guy) was trying to fight him, and I told him to leave him tf alone and pushed him away. Apparently, saving that guy from getting the ass beat. There was one other person, who I’ve always been in contact with since and we usually see each other whenever we are in town. We went to tacos with them that night for dinner.
