If it’s when you are braking your rotors are most likely warped

You need new brakes, most likely. Rotors and pads, and make sure the wheels are torqued properly when put back on.

I’ve always had great luck with OEM brakes. I’m sure others will chime in

It’s common on any vehicle. If your hard on your brakes on the highway especially slowing down for exits, they heat up pretty good and eventually warp and get worse. Your noticing it more because of how fast your wheels are rotating

My brakes were warped when I got the truck as well. Hauling weight or hilly terrain can make it worse, but so can driving like a mad man ha.

If you’ve never touched your rotors since ownership of vehicle, then I’d probably check thickness and replace if below threshold or resurface if there is at least some more life into it.

For peace of mind, probably replace front/rear rotors and get new pads. Bleed your brake fluid, and you’re golden again.

And if you’re wondering about rotors, a lot will suggest just going to OEM route with front/rears. If you want a performance upgrade, then go with Cryo rotors. Or if you really want to dish out money, go with Alcon.

For pads, lots go with OEM, some go with PowerStop, I personally went with EBC Yellow Stuff. Real good, but real noisy too plus lots and lots of dust.

My 2014 was doing the same thing at 50k miles. I was able to resurface the rotors and do OEM pads for ~$130 all in. I’m at 92k now, on 35” tires (since ~70k), and still no warping on the stock rotors. Pads are also still okay. The resurface route will save a bit of money, provided you can R&R everything yourself.

Just to add. In case you still get some shaking while normal driving (not just braking) even after you replace your brakes, have your tires checked for balance.

Also make sure your lug nuts are torqued to spec. Over torque can warp rotors.

Rotors was the cause of shaking while braking for me. Shaking while moving and not breaking during certain speeds is almost always tires in my experience.
