We got f'd up from a microburst in Tucson a few weeks ago. Some said it was a tornado, but there wasn't any proof. I was at work, so I wasn't home. The damage to the area was the worst I've seen here.
We actually had to move out to an Airbnb for water mitigation and rebuild. So far the new roof is already on to replace the brand new roof put on 5 years ago. Hoping to move back home in about a month.

Yeah, monsoon season is usually June through September or something like that. Some years it barely happens, other years we get a lot.

    Damn that’s crazy!

I’d say maybe a month ago? We had a confirmed twister on campus. I’m confirming it fucked up a lot of shit!!! Branches weren’t broken, they were ripped! We had at least 20+ mature unique trees knocked over due to over watering grass in the area I’m sure

Yep, July 14. It was bad at the railyard, so close to the campus, but the worst was the NW side for sure. My neighbor sent me text saying my roof was in the yard. And the fence was down. My wife was at her Mom's, so she rushed home and said it looked like nothing she's ever seen on the drive. Then when she got home water was leaking from all the light fixtures. Ended up being worse than I thought, haha.

There isn't many houses in the area that don't have roofing signs in the yard

Damn dude! I didn’t know that happened. We’ve been pretty lucky up our way, though 2 years ago we did lose a big ass tree in our front yard. It was a microburst that only hit a line of houses along our street. Super weird.

Sorry to hear that, I'm in Marana area and that microburst a few weeks ago was pretty intense. My friends carport got lifted away and he had some roof damage.

That's about what the whole areas tree's looked like.
Our neighborhood park was a lake. I have pics, but there in raw format and won't load.

It's pretty crazy what these microbursts can do.

Kicking around the idea of heading out to Tucson Wash near Mammoth for some sunset dirt if anyone is interested. Keeping an eye on the weather… Sorry for the short notice - spur of the moment hankering.

I will - but it’ll look similar to this - this is one of the washes a little further north.

Damn, if I hadn't had to move out of one Airbnb to another today I totally would have gone. We were neighbors for a few weeks.
Now I'm out West of Silverbell for who knows how long.
