So my local 4x4 mod shop (The 4x4 Shop in Livermore, CA) wants $200/hour to do any accessory installs. Reasonable for complex stuff but hard wiring a ProClip mount behind the dash does not strike me as particularly hard stuff.

I don’t mind driving 2-3 hours outside the Bay Area or Central Valley to find someone who can do it cheaper.

    Any suggestions?

I’ve got two ProClip mounts to wire in behind the dash.

Watch a couple of YouTube videos and tackle it yourself. I couldn't afford any of my mods if I had to pay someone else to do it. Doing it myself also makes sure nothing was broken and hidden by a shop.

I might. But I’m pressed for time lately and would prefer to find someone to take an hour to get it done instead of the five or six it’ll take me.

I might suggest trying to have it installed at a Car stereo shop. I bet they would put it in for less and get it done pretty quick since they are used to taking dashes and interior trim pieces off for Stereo installs.
