Have you logged it/sent logs to us for review to get a set of eye on? Did you get a bad tank of gas? It is late summer and you're in AZ.. Is this just a case of heat soak, or are you just getting used to it, as you suggested?

Not sure the answer can be found without knowing more. Send us a log, we're there to help. info@overlandtailor.com

According to the built in MPG estimator thingy I'm sitting at like 25-26mpg but I find that hard to believe. I do drive like a grandma though.

    yeah.

I have to keep shit out of sight.

    East Houston is....well....East Houston.

I used a piece of horse stall mat (1" thick black rubber gym mat) as the thing that the mount actually clamps to. and the magnet tape is stuck to the stall mat.

Mine claims 16 but I have the '18+ cluster running through a Teensy so the correlation is hit or miss, I gave up messing with the factor as it would be way off with a stock cluster. I know from the gauge how much range I have from distance on the tank (within a few miles)

    Tuning FYI.

As I mentioned earlier, my Harrop w/ 80mm had settled in hitting 9.4-9.8 WOT and I've been too lazy to lean it out. We'll, we're now prepping for a 2,500mi trip home, so I spent some time last night on the tune. Reduced the lockup RPM another 5% (5+another 5). And pulled 5-8% out of the higher RPM PE table.

Loaded my roof tent out of storage, flashed a tune this am, solid 10.2-10.6 AFR and it feels faster than last night even with the added weight vs the 9.x AFR.

Now to let the tune settle and check timing and knock indication. Luckily have a few hours trip to College Station this weekend to pick up a rescue dog.

Quick question, how many folks in this thread are looking to purchase a Magnuson kit or 2650 upgrade?

I'm on the fence on the upgrade, Magnuson quoted me 4k with the trade in of my 1900, I was neck deep in the BMW with spiraling expenditures and just remodeled the kitchen so left it alone, what are we talking about for just the blower?

I don’t know what Magnuson has for MAP, or if they would allow the trade to funnel through me, so I’m hesitant to talk pricing ATM.

There was a guy selling his brand new 2650 for 6K. You could buy that and sale your 1900 as used?

Spare parts left after the 2650 install. I have no idea what was parts swapped but I have a BIG box full of left parts after my install. What the hell do I do with these? Do I still need them?

The upgrade kit 1900-2650 is $4995. So they were giving you $995 for your blower. I guess that's not too bad if they are paying for shipping. I know that selling a used blower kit isn't easy and selling just the blower is even harder.

You can hang on to the stock intake in case you need to remove the SC for work. At least you'll have a truck to get around in.

Are the fuel injectors in the intake case? I don't see them anywhere. Not even sure if I got all my parts back LOL

You don't have to swap out injectors as they are separate from the intake.
Edit: also this only applies if you have your tune set for the original intake diameter.

Question for y'all that tow heavy: anyone have logs while doing so?

Most interested in ECT, but I'll take whatever you got. A log with boost, load, and ECT would be most helpful.

I don't have a good log towing heavy, but I monitor boost, AFR, ECT and TransTemp closely when I do. Coolant temps haven't exceeded a normal range (I don't think I've seen 210+) even when pulling a very heavy 24' or 26' enclosed 70 MPH with a nasty headwind going through hilly country with a about 2000' elevation gain on a 90 degree summer day. I was honestly surprised how well it did. I'll try to remember to log next time I do, which should be in the next couple of weeks.

Yes sir I noticed a big difference getting out of 9's to mid 10s and a huge difference in unsafe 11's when richening

Like Blenton I don’t have logs, but monitor all of my temps, boost AFRs etc while towing constantly. Prolonged boost when pulling hills I’d say 212 is usually the max ECT I see even on the 95 degree days. I do think I have to refresh a few things on my cooling system though like the radiator hoses cause mine seep, new thermostat, etc. I also have the higher pressure TRD 18psi rad cap. I’ve been seeing even as high as 210 lately driving unloaded and being easy on it with no boost. I don’t think the boost necessarily makes it run much hotter for me, but I do think it runs hotter lately than it used to by about 10 degrees. It’s weird cause I noticed the temps seemed warmer when I started using the scangauge 3 vs the 2 I had prior, but I can’t see how they would display the data differently.
