It was kinda funny. Last night the wife was asking how much a new Z06 costs. We found some for 114k and it sparked her interest. I just can't do it yet.

I just found out my countertops are slate.
I've been taking them for granite this whole time.

Meh.... it's barely doubleish :notsure: for the 2025 ZR1

Sell your mansion; pay cash; enjoy it for a couple of years; flip it (more like take a bit of a loss); move to wherever you're retiring; downgrade your living standards of your forever home; enjoy the memories :hattip:

Don't listen to Adam or Larry when it comes to vehicle purchases. Just know that you're on the edge of retirement because you're not them.

    <draggin' the soapbox out>

    agreed.

    1. we are entering a time that we will have boo-koo "graduates" that don't provide any value to the tribe.
these will be the waitresses & retail workers.
never to be able to pay off those student loans. they better learn a lesson.
most folks that are formally educated in stupid shit, are VERY hard to teach to create value.
they generally land in the local/state/federal payrolls. ugh.
ponder that last one...they are taught to lay on someone's leg.

    2. we are Blessed here at the warehouse, as our highest paid* folks don't have degrees....they have real knowledge & experience.
this is the first place I've worked that is like that.
the main dude here, has worked here since he was 17. high degreed "engineers" rely on him to plan most, if not all heavy moves.
our #2 guy was our 2nd employee ever.

    3. there is zero loyalty in the workplace these days. kinda like baseball teams. everyone chases a dollar.
same for employers - zero loyalty.

    4. parents, these days, suck. they do not know how to create good humans. because they themselves suck.
    put down the phone. hustle.
see, while you are playing XBox/facebook/tiktok/candy crush....I'm out getting your customers.

and if you or someone you know is a realtor, they better learn to mow grass.

*in 2016, when we did the mgt buyout, we made sure a good piece of the profits now go to the folks that make us successful.

I have two degrees I do not use. I went in the first place because no one in my family had ever gone, and it was presented as my only option. I had to go. I got the second degree as an excuse to hang around because I met this girl…

Well, she became my wife, we both graduated (second time for me), and now she doesn’t use her degree, either. We got real serious in the first couple years of marriage and Dave Ramsey’d that debt out of our lives.

    Debt-free ever since.

College is even more of a racket now. Every university admin is infected with bloat that would make the federal govt blush.

They have created multiple $300k/yr jobs for themselves (Dean of Student Life, Dean of Student Affairs, Dean of Student Health, Associate Dean of Student and Family Support, Vice Dean of Admissions, etc etc etc) and simply tacked their salaries and pensions onto the students’ tabs and told themselves it’s ok because the govt will pay the interest on students’ debt until they graduate.

At the risk of oversimplification, every bit of bloat over the last 20 years at universities is admin-level nonsense that should be cut right out.

This is the 1st quarter breakdown by model. 2nd quarter results were about the same. Not too impressive overall compared to historical data. There are models that Nissan clearly needs to drop. What's obviously missing is a hybrid lineup. Nissan jumped the shark on that. Nissan's primary focus for the near future was to go all electric. I thought that was nuts. There was talk that the Frontier was going electric soon, now there's new talk that there may be a hybrid Frontier after all to go along with the gas version. Frontier sales are definitely a plus for dealers. There are models selling quite well. Several are stale duds in my opinion. Infiniti sales aren't too impressive either. Nissan and Infiniti need better offerings for sure.

you might have forgot everybody's new favorite. Dean of DEI, or as @bmf4069 once said; Dean of Don't Educate Individuals.

Unfortunately, the govt has taught corporate America to follow suit and create bloat. It's the new American model of doing business. Me first, me alone, I care nothing about my consumers (or voters), it's all about me. And hence no one is adding to the tribe as you say.
