Hey everyone. I'm thinking someone might have the answer to this.

I would like to know what kind of amperage we can pull off the 12v system on the tundra hybrid.

This would be to charge camper lithium batteries.

Typically we might use a secondary high amperage alternator ~300 amps for this. I am thinking there might be some good $$ savings if this hybrid system negated the need for a secondary alternator.

Did anyone come up with an answer to this? I’m currently charging my camper battery and a goal zero yeti from my truck. It seems to work fine but I’m wondering if it’s pulling too much from the alternator. Camper battery pulls up to 400 watts and the goal zero yeti pulls 700 watts. That’s 1100 watts just for these items; not including the truck hybrid system.

There's no alternator in the hybrids. The motor/generator between the engine and transmission also charges the main 288v battery pack, which has a DC-DC converter to step down to the 12v system.

I don't know what the max rated amps are, but I have 48v lithium batteries in my trailer and have been able to charge them with my Sterling DC-DC 1248120. I tested at 65% power, then 85%, and finally 100% for the last week or so. Seems to work fine.
