Son and I installed the tow mirrors ahead of some cross country trailer ops next spring. Easy and fun, love the way they look. All functions work, including BSM, which I was worried about. Still playing with aiming the convex mirrors to get the desired coverage. Did not hook up the reverse lights (separate wire I just left bundled under the door trim) as I am still researching whether I want it or not. (So if anybody has any received wisdom on mirror reverse lights, I'll take it under advisement. Thanks!)Tow mirror 1.jpg Tow mirror 2.jpg

Mine are wired to a button so they come on as I need. I didn't feel I needed them every time I put the truck in reverse.

I love having my tow mirrors. I've gained soo much visibility and I love it.

So much better than stock. Probably should have gotten the Kenwood, but FLAC playback and a much better display maketh up for a multitude of Entune OEM sins. The stupid guidelines overlaying the camera view needs fixing.

I've seen them live twice in the last 3 years. Outside of TSO, TOOL is the only band I have seen more than once. Absolutely my favorite band.

I might switch up my wiring. I learned very quickly not to fold the mirrors as I'm pulling in to park. They will flash into the truck when my shifter passes the R position when I go from D to P. Getting blinded is not fun. And those spot lights are definitely not needed every time I go into reverse.

Totally agreed on the mirror visibility. Just have to be a bit extra careful when turning left onto a street with oncoming traffic. That passenger A pillar and tow mirror together create quite the blind spot.

Ah, hadn't thought about the spots turning on while mirrors folded in. Would be tough in a parking garage since normally mirrors get folded in and you'd need to reverse before unfolding.

I've only had a few times I had to peak around the mirror to clear the added blink spot, I find their added visibility heavily outweighs this and I will accept that trade off.

What brand? And both BSM and heat work in them?

An Amazon brand, seydou, so I may regret my usual buy once, cry once mantra. All good so far though, and yes, all functionality works.

Okay, been waiting for the right time to ask this question. My question to you both ... how much further do these tow mirrors stick out over the oem paddle mirrors? I plan on getting the folding version, but was still just curious (due to garage opening). Thanks in advance.

Good point. To follow up on my last post, if I have to fold them to pull forward into the garage, they would have to stay folded as I back out ... and those reverse spots turning on and shinning in the window could prove challenging backing out of the garage.

Yep, I hadn't thought of that since mine are tied to a switch so I've never had them on in the folded position. Can only imagine it would be blinding.

Um... I can measure Friday how far my Boost mirrors stick out from the truck and you can compare to how far yours stick out.

I did not measure mine at any point since I'm normally parked outside.

Yeah, didn't measure Gecko, since mine's outside. Looks like a good couple inches longer than stock.

    So far it’s been great.
I’ve only tested on road. It’s not night and day, but I noticed less “bounce” or jolt over speed bumps. hopefully be making a beach run soon where I can better test out the feel off-road.

As perpendicular as I could without scratching my door, I see 14". Folded in (manual fold), I have 5". That's from the bottom of the mirror, not the widest part of the door.
