A little of this and a little of that.
Hey guys I’ve got a question about Spidertrax and stock lugs.

The directions for the Spidertrax read that the torque on them is 97 ft lbs. The directions from Spidertrax also reads put your wheels back on your truck with 97 ft lbs of torque on the stock lugs, however the Toyota manual reads that stock lug nuts on the truck be tightened to 154 ft lbs of torque.

Q: Which ft lbs would be safest, the 97 ft lbs on stock lugs or 154 ft lbs as the manual reads??

Oh, your mixing steel wheels and aluminum spacers. I would call Spidertrax and get their advice.

    Agree with ColoradoTJ.

154 ft/lbs is for steel wheels and acorn style lugs. If you're using alloy wheels with the regular lugs, then 97 ft/lb should be good.

97, or you risk damaging the aluminum spacer by over torquing.

I'd go with the lower, minimum required.

Alright @ColoradoTJ I did as you suggested with 97 ft lbs on the Spidertrax and 97 ft lbs on my aluminum wheels to the Spidertrax with stock lug nuts.

Thank you for your help. I wouldn’t have wanted to damage anything so thank you guys.....:transformer:
