ATX area (Austin, TX) Tuning

Hey Y’all, my name is Chris and I am proud to offer my tuning services to the ATX (Austin, TX) area. My friend Brody operates Downhill Dragon Tuning, and he moved to Arizona, so I took over his tuning here in Austin. Some of you may know me as Chris from Triple C Chop Shop. I also support all of Brody’s customers as well as offering lifetime support to my own customers. Any questions you may have about tuning, or the tuning process, I’ll be more than happy to answer.

 

Also, this coming Sunday, December 3rd, 2023 Pistons at the Park car show will be having a toy drive. See y’all there.

 

Last Sundays Pistons car show was a huge success. 2 huge bins full of toys along with 6 55gallon drum fulls as well.

So tell us just a bit what your services can do for the average 3UR - you know rough numbers of what it can achieve and related cost - Thanks.

 

I make adjustments to fueling, spark, airflow, and VVTi to help create more engine power. I have an 87 octane mapping and a 91+ octane mapping, which of course 91+ will create more power than 87+, but you’re dedicated to only using 91 with that map. I also adjust transmission shift points to help the transition in gear shifting and be able to hold gear better. I adjust throttle response to your liking and according to usage as well. I am unlimited on what I can do as I am the one making these tunes. With everything combined you will have more engine power, better transmission shifting, increased throttle response, and even improved fuel efficiency. Also, I can make adjustments for any aftermarket performance mods to the motor. Also tire size correction and gear ratio correction so that the transmission programming identifies those as well.

Just got ship notification for the ECU interface for 3rd Gen Tundra. Next up will be tuning R&D. My question for 3rd Gen Tundra owners is what could be better about the truck performance wise, transmission, throttle, ect?

I spoke with a friend and he said the biggest complaint is getting going from a stop. I see that the 3.5L motor is trying to push a full size truck without turbos being spooled up. So that’s going to be a challenge to correct, but I see that it is doable. If any of you have input on this, with extra detail to add. Please I’d like to hear it.

Next complaint was transmission shifting. Seems the trans gets confused in some spots and doesn’t know what to do. I can clean that up, but any extra input would be appreciated.

Then responsiveness from driver input. That’s an EZ one. But again, input here would be appreciated.
