I've given up on fighting the unwinnable lawn war. I live in what amounts to a pasture. Going hard and getting it totally weed free and keeping it mowed is a damn near full time job all on it's own. I hate yard work. Always have because it was dumped on me as a kid. I'd rather let it go than waste my life trying to keep it all cut down and weed free. Thistles breed like rabbits out here and in a field you'll fight if for 4 months to get a few weeks at the end of summer that it looks half decent, if you are lucky. I'm not beating my head on that wall.

Though this year I did hire a niece and her husband to do it because they needed the money and I hate the work. That's the way to do it, IMO. They're happy to get the funds and I'm happy to pay them. Good kids, those two.

 

Had me in the first half, NGL.

 

Nothing major…just the iDash (with pod mount) and the MAP sensor relo kit.

 

I would spend my free time at our lake lot pulling sow thistle but that was more for fun than anything else.

 

Also not a fan of chemicals with kids and a dog.

Ah, that just looks like a wildflower. We get these "little" horrors. Impossible to kill off and I gave up after busting my ass on them one year. Dug them up, ripped them out, fed them bleach. Nothing works.

 

Some kind of noxious weed but it doesn't have any spikes and it has very short roots so it's very easy to pull out of the ground.

 

I like to water my weeds real good, it greens up the yard.

 

I did water and bleach. Direct to the root. Still came back the next year.

 

Burn them bitches......I use one on my property. Fun with ant hills too...heh

 

Try my method...

 

Don't have a good way to control a fire. If the yard starts it's all gonna go. Only one spigot and it's over an acre of field grass.

 

Is your grass dead? Works great on paver weeds.

 

I bet I could fill a couple dumpsters if I dethatched. It's decades of it never being done that I'm dealing with.

I believe @snoope meant to say that the 'rider' put themselves in the weeds by cutting him off or trying to force him to slam on his brakes at the last minute to 'accommodate' them... However, he was unable to safely and expeditiously apply his brakes and therefore said 2-wheeler ended up w/his or her own choice of eating a bumper or eating dirt, and in his scenario they chose the latter

 

Actually, that's a misnomer; in most states aggressive driving isn't defined by 'aggression' but rather a series or combination of driving behaviors that can either be charged as individual infractions or collectively as 'aggressive driving', similar to 'reckless driving'...

Example in a 3 violation state: Infractions of speeding, following to closely, and an unsafe lane change could be wrote as 3 separate tickets or the officer could choose to write for aggressive driving using the individual violations as PC for the aggressive driving charge; which generally will also allow the officer option for custodial arrest and impound of the vehicle if he/she chooses.

I think one of the main points here is that often times the 'aggressive' driving between bikes and vehicles comes from riding behaviors of the bike not driving behaviors of the vehicles...
