Go rent this tool from autozone. The more seasoned the better so it slips on.

    Parts buying has begun!

Just ordered left and right lower ball joints from Orisman, Toyota of Richmond. Got two extra bolts in case I lose two so 10 in all.

Called the shop to make double sure I had the right parts numbers. Clerk confirmed I had everything correct.

May buy a set of front end pullers today if I can get a good deal.

I bought this ball joint tool and it worked great on my tie rods. I haven't used it on my LBJs yet.

In the words of the almighty D-R-E, "The muthafuckin' saga continues..."

Finally got off my ass and primered up the Waltrip grille. Tried a new product. Super easy to work with, but damn does their fanned tip dump paint, and I learned the hard way you gotta be careful when it gets below half the can, huge blowout risk, no control. But damn it lays a smooth coat.

Anyway, I'm gonna let this cure up for 3-4 days, then knock down the one run in the part, thanks to aforementioned blowout. Product, then pics on coats 2 and 4. More later when it gets sanded and topcoated.

There used to be a very large all-Toyota junkyard in Colorado. A guy on Yotatech and probably some other forums ran their business through the forums. Would ship anywhere in the US. I got a lot random interior and exterior parts for my 83 pickup that would have been impossible to find otherwise. And they didn't price gouge on pulling/shipping like car-part.com does.

Ironman was a little thirsty on Saturday.

    KIMG20240810_115522889.jpg

I went 265.7 miles on that tank for 10.72 mpg. I don't know how to do the calculation for bigger tires so I'm guessing 11.2 mpg.

My sister came to town in a toyota Camry and my daughter brought the tree out to my mom's house for a bit.

What is it you're picking up? Boiled egg cooker and bread maker?

    When did Amarillo grow trees???

Mileage: the difference in tire circumference for you is 5.8%.
    265.7mi + 5.8% = 281.1mi
    281.1mi ÷ 24.772gal = 11.3mpg

    Damn fine estimate.

You can borrow a front end puller kit from Advanced Auto to pop it out easily with a 19mm socket. They charge you $145 and refund you the money when you return it. Just make sure nothing is missing or broken when you borrow it.

Technically it’s an Icebox. It does not have a refrigeration unit in it. It’s an Amish Yeti.

Damn. I’ve seen a lot of shit. I’ve never seen a refrigerator that looks like this? Nor a cabinet.

Looks like people use them for more of a shelf than anything.
