I assume this lift block is not OEM...

    Lift Block.jpg Gents,

The used Tundra we bought has 2" rear lift blocks and silver Bilsteins. I can't for the life of me see anything up front that looks like the front was lifted in any way.

Is a rear-only lift a thing on these trucks, or is this stock?

Thanks for everyone's patience with my noob questions.

Also a side shot. If they added 2" to the rear and left the front stock height, you should have some rather impressive rake going on.

Alrighty then... a little bit more searching of the internet and I believe I found it.

I assume that's a 2" spacer at the top of the shock.

Any safety concerns? My son (who is the actual truck owner) would prefer to keep the lift. I, on the other hand, wouldn't mind if it disappeared.

Looks like you have the ReadyLift 3/2 kit. It's fine for onroad use....they just ride rough as hell. Don't do any aggressive offroading with that type of kit.

Edit.....those front spacers are about 2 inches thick as you mentioned but they give a 3 inch lift. They are not a 1:1 ratio.

    Stock? No.

Great lift? It's one step above adding hockey pucks as spacers.

Safety concerns? If the truck runs straight and you don't have any unusual tire wear it's fine. Enjoy the truck.

The truck runs straight and is actually pretty comfortable. I honestly have no complaints except for the loudness of the tires.

Can I remove the front spacers without needing a spring compressor?

I'm thinking we're going to leave the truck as is until the no name 33s need replacing.

You do not need a spring compressor.

Leaving it is fine. If you remove it you will need to have a wheel alignment done.

You will also want to remove the block in the rear which will require new U bolts, if you remove the front spacers.

If it rides fine and he likes the look. I'd leave everything alone until you are ready to replace both the spacer lift up front and the blocks in the rear.

    Folks,

I do my own alignments on my track car. Our Tundra ABSOLUTELY has noticeable positive camber up front. I'm guessing more than three degrees. I need to take it to a level spot (while it's not raining), and put my camber gauge on her.

Can I assume no alignment was performed after the lift kit was installed? I'd rather pull the lift kit than pay for an alignment. I'd bet I could guess and get it better than it is.

    Thanks,
