truck turns over, wont crank unless I leave in on position for 5-6seconds

could the plug with no connection to it be causing it, this is located near the driver side closest to windshield, have no clue what the plug connects to or why the truck sounds fine turning over but not wanting to crank.

 

You mean it cranks over but doesn't start?

I'd lean towards fuel pump or resistor. Disconnect the fuel pump resistor and see if it barks off immediately. Item circled in pic below.

 

My 2000 has the same connector with a connector cover 82821-35050 plugged into it. Honestly I have no idea what that connector is for.

Fires, starts, runs, fixes the problem.
