This may have been mentioned already, but do you have info on how you installed this? I have the factory bluish footwell lights in the front on my SR5 but nothing in the rear and would definitely like to do this.

Did you have a factory wireless charger that came with yours or is that just a complete add on? My SR5 did not come with the qi from factory but I want to add something in that location it normally is.

I like the center caps. Wonder if anyone has put them on the TRD Pro BBS wheels. Assuming they would fit the same...

Went to dealer today to see if I could buy a stereo knob. They informed me of a Toyota Stop Order in place meaning they know of the problem and he said I should wait to see if they will eventually cover the replacement under warranty. They must be joking…might be covered? SMH

First-time tinter here. I sprung for the full ceramic tint, including moonroof and windshield, for $800 at a local place here in Sarasota. Truck doesn't fit in the garage so I thought it was worth it. It makes a difference; it cools off quick and I often forget to put my sunglasses on. Haven't had any issues. I can see fine but nobody can see me. Looks badass. To me it was well worth it.

The PPF is Paint Protection Film on the front hood and bumper. The rest is all tint (all of the windows and sunroof)

I’ve had 3 trucks and two cars with XPEL tint on the sunroof and never had an issue. I’m in Texas and the sun is intense here in our long summer months in addition to ~100° temps. Really helps to have tint even it it is almost clear.

from what I understand, and most tint shops around here (Augusta GA where it gets pretty dang hot) say that anything darker than 35% has a chance at shattering the glass because of how much heat it would absorb. But you shouldn't have an issue with anything 35% or lighter.

So the tint (ceramic specifically) absorbs the heat rather than reflecting it? Interesting.
I went 40 on my pano sunroof and it rarely gets that scorching hot up here. Hopefully I'm good.
A bit over 90 today driving with the sunshade open in full sun: there was plenty of light, but very little heat. Love it!

I don't think you'll have any issues. Ive got 35 on my pano. here is a spec sheet from the tint I have, it may not be exactly what you have depending on brand...but the numbers should be close and you can get an ideaScreenshot 2024-08-02 at 9.44.18 PM.png

Did anyone measure the factory windows before tinting? I know standard is 15-20%, but my windows seem dark and my truck remains remarkably cool in the hot Arizona sun.

Just finished installing a FitCam dash cam. Just the front one for now. Will have to plan out the rear cam as it will involved dismantling half the truck it seems. I am going to try and run a wire fish instead of dripping the headliner (which required the dismantling). If the fish doesn't work then I will see about if the cord provided for the rear cam is long enough to run down the windshield pillar, along the floor (tucked under carpet/door sills), then up the rear window cover, across to the center. But for now, at least I have some form of an unbiased witness to all the crazy drivers moving to Florida.

You can just loosen the rear part of the headliner, pop out the overhead light/sunglass holder panel in the front, and get a fishing line through.
There’s some foam in the headliner that will make running the line a little tricky but I did it on my truck with the same dashcam.

You dont have to dismantle much of anything. I ran my wire from the front to back, down the Apillar and aside of the seats and then up the rear pillar, and tucked behind the headliner to the camera. Only removed four pieces, one piece of plastic at each door opening, snapped out and in. Third was the side of the dash, again clipped, and the Apillar trim, bolted.

Added an RCI skid plate, with my CBI winch bumper I needed to remove a 1/2” of the front lip. Lined up with my Miller Cat shield really nicely.
