Yup, ran into that "integrated" security system in my 97 coupe, did precisely what you describe.
She's still yard art at the moment. Made a weak attempt to sell her, but in reality the Tundra is going to probably be "down" at some point so she's a solid backup.
Might cut a sweet deal if anyone here was interested...

Not if it has an automatic CVT transmission I would imagine.

Need to get a 2013 or older I believe to not have a CVT unless you buy a manual Civic type R.

I'm not opposed to it, but I'd want to see undercarriage and suspension first. I thought when you were kicking around potential numbers before, it seemed high but fuck if I remember right.

I found a nearby neighbor with a mid-2000s CRV for sale, I'm about to go check out in a few, and if the price and condition are right I may execute. I think they only get ~20mp city and 28 hwy or something, but again, if the price is right... Even though it's maroon. Ugh. At least it's not that geriatric sky blue color, or old man beige, I guess.

Haha, never pass the shifty criteria. All I can say about pricing is I've seen absolute pieces of shit listed for 3-3.5k. Beat up panels rusting out pieces of shit.
