    Hi all!

Looking for opinions on an issue I just started experiencing with my 2016 Tundra Crewmax Platinum 5.7 (4WD) (99,700 Miles).

Yesterday I went out to start it (ran earlier that morning) and it just cranked and cranked with no hint of starting. Battery is about two years old and had some corrosion buildup on one terminal. Cleaned it, rid of corrosion, reconnected and no progress. All lights and other interior electronics are functional and do not to appear to have power loss. Showing 12.5v at the terminals and the wires connecting to it.

Noticed that while the key is in the “on” state, gauge cluster does not react nor does the check engine light illuminate. Connected an OB2 reader up but it could not communicate with the computer. Checked all fuses and even tested continuity on the ones that seemed related, no issues there. Moved known working relay into fuel pump relays, no change. Didn't have another relay to test starter, but I pulled that relay and truck wouldn't crank at all - not related I deemed it.

Any suggestions or has anyone experienced anything similar? It may or may not be related, but over the last 6-8 months or so, I have experienced a condition where I went to turn the key and auto-start (or whatever that feature is called) failed to start the truck and a manual key turn was needed.

I took a video of the behavior, linked below:
    https://youtu.be/O7BER35DT18?si=1bO6EzpIbw2JbDqm

All of my research seems to indicate the problem is tied to the ECU (most suspicious symptoms are no check engine light and no comm with OBII reader) and possibly one of the many sensors connecting back to the ECU. Would like to know what you all think and if there is something more likely in this scenario than another.

    Appreciate any help in advance!

Confirm good battery and ground first. Fully charge battery and have it load tested. You have corrosion on terminals, need to make sure cables are not bad, could be inside the cables not viewable from outside and that all grounds are clean and tight. All that first before further testing.

2014 Toyota tundra 1794 edition. 129000 miles. I’m having the same issue where it cranks but doesn’t start, brand new battery was put in. Didn’t feel any fuses “click”.

Check power coming to the integration relay from the ignition switch. My mechanic pulled the integration relay and applied power and the truck started. Turns out the wire running from ignition switch to the relay was broken somewhere in the harness. They ran a new wire and presto!

I have a power telescoping wheel and I’ve read that wires can sometimes get damaged from the repeated in and out on start/stop.

    Good luck!

I ended up replacing the fuel pump, wasn’t as easy as I was expecting due to not having a lift plus the rain. Truck cranked and ended up starting. I’ll take the win for now
