Just posting the best pack I had. They enjoyed schutzhund and chilling out around the sound.
The last 15 months I lost one to stomach cancer, 6 months later one to prostate cancer and today my old girl to degenerative myelopathy.
Run free crossing that rainbow bridge.

 

Dang, that's rough.

 

Man this is tough.

 

Yeah, it is. I was approached 2 months ago by my neighbor who knew of a dog needing to be adopted. He knew we cared for GSD's and knew of a retired WA state K9 who needed a home. He brought life in the last months of my girl's life. I would carry her in a sling as she chased him around the yard. Just some good times...

 

hmm, can't say I've ever paid attention to if sunglasses played a part or not

 

good looking pack, sorry for your loss, I can't image how hard it is to lose them in that span of time

 

Here’s my 4yr old Shiloh Sheppard through the years . She just got 2 new sisters last fall ( Mainecoons ). They are inseparable ,, eat, sleep and play around together all day lol.

 

We lost our first and only GSD a few years back in a tragic accident. I wanted to get another one but my wife can't do it. Any sight of a Sheppard brings her to tears thinking of Sunny. She was only 4 months old.

I wrote this poem for her and read it aloud when I spread her ashes on top of MT Royal that we can see from our deck. Brings me to tears thinking of your loss.

SUNNY

The smiles you brought us were endless

From the bites and licks you gave

To those big brown eyes you beheld unto us

Your love was unfettered and abundant

Just as your joy when you rose with the sun each morn

Your parting left us with a void

But each day we'll fill it with this remembered joy

To say your gone forever isn't true

Because forever in our hearts will always be you

Each day as the sun climbs high in the sky

It reminds us why

You would want us to move on smiling from your touch of shinning sun

Instead of grieving and being burdened with ties of sorrow

We'll do our best to find joy in all our tomorrows

Your days here were short

But your spirit will forever remain

In our hearts and minds that remember your fitting name

Sunshine and joy is what you brought home and sunshine and joy is what you'll be remembered for

May you rest in peace in mother Mary's grace

She'll be the one to care for you while you await our future embrace

For when you're ready to return here I hope you'll soon learn

that our love for you will carry on with each day's setting sun

 

So sorry for your loss! They were a great-looking trio of fur buddies that I'm sure will provide you with many fond memories.
