Thinking of purchasing front and rear steel bumpers from C4 Fabrication bumpers. Has anyone installed and found that stock suspension needed to be upgraded to accommodate?

I plan on adding a Warn VR Evo 12-S winch with synthetic line vs steel cable.

    Front bumper weighs 174 lbs
    Rear bumper weighs 151 lbs
    Winch weighs 72 lbs

Also wanted to Note I purchased the TRD Factory 3" Lift kit which came with upgraded suspension (over TRD Offroad which came stock)...............So unless there is a safety issue with adding steel bumpers and winch; I'd rather let the factory suspension wear out before I invest in new suspension.

The more I think about this truck........................I dont really think that a rear steel bumper is a necessity. Especially since companies like Factor55 and others have rear trailer hitch installed recovery points. I'm thinking that unless the hitch pin's are not safe there's no real benefit to replacing the rear bumper unless I damage the stock one.

I'm thinking only a front steel bumper with winch mount makes sense for the Gen 3 Tundra. I can just use the Factor55 Hitch Mount with soft shackle for rear of truck recovery.

Good idea………….Maybe stiffer spring coil overs are the answer. I’ll see if I can find specs on the upgraded springs that came with the factory “TRD 3inch Lift Kit” vs an after market spring.

I do not believe the TRD lift kit coilovers have adjustable preload. I would prefer a more customizable coilover but plenty of people have the trd kit with bumpers, itll be fine.

It definately does NOT have an easily adjustable load setting. Not something you can do in the fly.

Well I bought the Warn Evo 12S winch and am purchasing the CBI Offroad - Overland front bumper only for my 3rd gen Tundra. Bumber is 170 lbs and the winch is 72lbs, so adding 242 lbs to front end.

I'll keep an eye on front springs.................If I notice anything negative I'll switch out the springs.
