Meanwhile, I'm out here driving MORE THAN ONE like its a submarine, putting bullet holes in it @Terndrerrr , hauling cattle, and dragging Wilburs out the woods with my only non wear item repair being a leaking radiator at like 40,000 miles of hard use (which was probably my fault anyway given my tendency to bush hog with it) But we can't handle "insecurities" about naysayers on the internet.

Walking away or ignoring it would be the non emotional response. Having everything you have on the site expunged would indicate that something somewhere poked the feels. Trust me, I know because I did a similar purge a while back. It's 100% emotion based. Not sure of your age, but "rage quitting" just means getting irritated and frustrated to the point that you quit. It doesn't "explicitly call for anger" at all. Just that emotion is involved, and if emotion were not involved there would be no need for the purge.

Of all the nonsense in this thread, this post is the truth of it. Everyone wanted the 3rd gen to be the perfect truck, but perfect trucks don't exist. Instead, the things that people didn't like were pointed out, others disagreed, and a few on both sides stirred that pot like crazy. Mods cleaned it up because of tons of reports and then the real crazies came out with flat earth level conspiracies that the mods were silencing their group (both 2nd and 3rd gen have crazies that think the world revolves around them and everyone is against them.)

Mods aren't paid enough to babysit grown ass adults, so the nuking will continue.

I missed that post. I'm not sure. It might have just been that the F150 had more incentives/discounts? It can vary a bit just from dealer to dealer even on the same make/model/trim. I didn't look at GMs, because reasons, so their price behavior is unknown to me. Same for the 3G Tundra and diesels. I wanted a V8 gasser.

 

I did the exact same thing and bought the GMC.

 

2nd Gen is as close to a perfect truck as exists.

Not at all. Resigned to my fate. It boiled down to me having less anxiety with a new Ferd and warranties than a used Tundra that'd take me several days travel to go get and hope they actually did maintenance on it. I fully recognize my 2019 Tundra was the perfect truck for me and I should never have let it go, but I am where I am because of choices I've made.
