Now that more tires are being offered in this size (perfect happy medium in my opinion), I'd love to see who has picked up some KO3s, Wildpeak AT4Ws, or something similar in this size??

I put almost 60k on a set of Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 285/70R18. The truck is on Radflo 2.5 cool overs set at about 1” lift, coachbuilder +1” shackles, with 1.25” spidertrax spacers, and a 3/4” bumper spacer.

This is the route I want to go in a few months too. Toyo AT III seem like about the lightest from what I’ve seen

Did you need to do all that to keep them from rubbing? I had plenty of clearance with my 275/70r18 Cooper Rugged Treks and they are a big tire for their size.

Was really hoping a 1” level and a Road Active Suspension that brings back up an inch or two would be good..

That should be plenty for 285/70 on a stock / OEM wheel (+60mm offset). That’s what I run (minus the RAS).

If you have the sr5 skid plate for the engine you’ll rub at full lock. Trim it or take it off and put a TRD or RCI etc on and you’ll be good.

There are whole threads dedicated to that tire size here...just search that size in the search box....lots of info, pics, reviews.

I see mentions of this size in threads, but I don’t see a thread on this size. Unless I’m missing it. This thread is about this size tire only.

I made a specific thread on this size about the Nitto RECON Grappler here.

I too thought it was the only one - I was incorrect. Plenty of threads on this size.

Actually, your thread was about the recon grappler… you just happened to have 285/70r18s.

And the only picture in it is of your truck.

And the last post was over 10 months ago.

And, as I stated… there are actually quite a few manufacturers that have added that specific size to their AT and RT tire lineup for 2024.

Hopefully that gets the forum police off my back.

Right. I’ve been around for a bit so I’ve actually seen all those threads, and they’re all basically dead.

Since multiple manufactures have added this size for 2024 I think it’s worth asking if anyone has picked them up.

    And?

just providing examples of actual use of that actual size for a specific tire. I can make a new one that isn’t 10 months old if that will remove the corn cob from your hawse pipe.

    What?

Dude you came in here on your own suggesting there are “plenty of threads” on this tire size… just because you made a thread last year?

Go find somewhere else to be a keyboard warrior

Listen man. Your reading comprehension is abysmal.

It’s not 7 pages of threads. Your search pulled any thread that has a single post with 285, 70, or R18 in it. There are 5 threads with that size in the title, and the most recent one is 2021.

Also, the same handful people (like yourself) have been the authors of almost all the posts regarding that size.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to prove, but you’re not helping your case.

I bet you always leave the dealership thinking you really stuck it to em’, huh?

I’m not your man, man. I’m not trying to prove anything. You seem to hate when people try to help you out. It’s truly remarkable how much you know about forum search functions, yet insist on not using them.

I bet you’re fun at parties.

That corncob is there for a reason, it keeps water out of the chain locker!

Sorry I’m so late getting back to you. Been a bit busy. No, I didn’t need all that to keep from rubbing. The only necessity was the front bumper spacer. I’ve since gone up to 295/70R18 Nitto RG’s with no rub.
