CarlinKit Issues

I have the CarLinKit and recently it updated software. Now with Google Maps or Waze it switches the audio from my bluetooth music device for any alerts instead of temporarily reducing the bluetooth music device's volume during alerts in the apps. Anyone else see this and have a work around / fix?

 

With the new software update, I cannot get the factory side bar to disappear when I switch over to the CarLinKit box. It obstructs the full screen view.

 

Have yall had these kinda issues before with firmware updates? Or whatever updates these are? Do they get resolved? I’m trying to decide about ottocast and this one and magic box etc….

support and update quality is something I had not thought about so just curious….

 

I haven't had any issues since I bought the CarLinKit box, but I don't believe I've gone through any other updates yet. The sidebar thing doesn't affect much other than covering a small portion of the screen. It used to disappear before this last software update. I would still recommend getting a box. They're great.
