Saved my ass when we were remodelling the kitchen in '09. Accidentally nicked one of our copper lines taking out a footer. It wasn't pretty, but it had us taking showers in no time flat.

I almost - ALMOST - locked in on a job with RWC, who makes the product, for a role on their cloud/eng team a couple years back. I liked the idea of working for a product I actually like, something I can get behind. Their work policy (on-site, always) ultimately drove me off.

My brother and I rebuilt a 70s era Honda 100 that we bought in a box when we were like 14 or 15 years old. My dad was impressed that got it together and it ran well.

 

Hey are the Sequoia dash clusters interchangeable with the Tundras? I know they have the same cut and screw points, but are they plug and play?

 

Man if I was closer to get my long travel kit I'd be all over that. Changing jobs is just an excuse for the fact that the base kit before axles and shocks costs damn near what I paid for this thing lol.

No T4R is complete without the little ladder.
I love the undercover front bumper. Those things are also very popular around here.
Nice wheel color choice. It works.
I love the grill.
Gotta have that desert snorkel.
And finally, if you gotta own a fifth gen (4th gen V8 rules), take pride in the fact you got the tasteful pre facelift, before the stupid angry face came out.

I spent a lot of time on it before the tundra came into my life.
It also has a TJM snork, rear coil air bags, custom sliders that also have 1gal air capacity with a single arb comp feeding them with air chucks on each slider for airing up, urd maf calibration box(waste of money), sprint booster(it needs it) cone filter intake? Maybe a CAI box? (I definitely saw awesome
Improvement with in coming air temps after the scuba gear) rci front skid, and that low pro front winch bumper was a take off from C4 that I welded together, ran a powerless winch in it for a year or two before I stole it and put it in the truck…..
I’ve stolen a lot of the lights off it for the truck haha my kids get mad, don’t steal mamas lights!!!!

it’s 2wd, but you already know that doesn’t always matter with off roading.

also for a first year production it’s been pretty awesome

 

2wd with rear locker is a lot of fun. Winch would make it even funner. That's what all my Taco prerunners were missing.
Always have someone more capable that can recover ya haha.

Yeah, i don’t know either, but for some reason i’m getting better and better at it. About two years ago i had my 2011 KTM 990 Adventure wire harness and engine torn down, my buddy’s 2013 990A engine and wire harness torn down, my 640A wire harness torn down, engine and tranny swap between my 2000 and 2004 tundra with wire harness mods, fabricating full wave 12 volt DC conversion wire harnesses on three different tuned up vintage Vespa motor scooters, all the while while working on my 12 valve ford highboy cummins conversion. I have always had a VERY, VERY challenging time remembering people’s names or recognizing their faces, i’m bad at math (cause math is hard), but the worst is i will walk to the other end of my shop to do something or get something and i’ll forget whatever it was i was after about 5 steps.

Then again, i’m single so i don’t have a family that drains my remembering bank. I can only assume that that takes a fair amount of bandwidth.

 

Convenient?...yes. Passing code?...yes. Reliable?...well yes they have been proven to be reliable, but i would never, ever, ever put one in my house. I’m just skeptical of really loooooong term reliably. Copper is proven to last pretty much forever...at least if it doesn’t freeze and burst the line.

One of my younger co-"workers" is a pex/sharkbite/pro-press diehard.
I relentlessly and brutally remind him he has no skill. They def have their place to save the day, make the impossible possible, and avoid fire risks. But barring those instances I'll go with sweat every time. I enjoy it actually. I replaced all the 63yr old galv in our home in 2016. It was fun to rethink the whole system, add isolation valves, upgrade outdoor hose bibs to full 3/4 etc...

I have run into two or three fitting that eroded through though because of turbulence (didn't de-bur). But holy shit those were either ancient or heavy use lines.

Is ya'lls low fuel light analog? Mine would slowly brighten, and slowly dim depending on the angle of the hill i was on. Seemed weird.

 

Throwing out random question. The Y-pipe with resonator on these trucks, between the tail-end of the cat and the muffler. That has to be a major restriction point. Does anyone make a more-freeflowing Y-pipe with a resonator just to open shit up?

 

For the price, probably best to have one made, or go true dual & H or X pipe.

Yup, JBA, or your local muffler shop. That's what I did for the 03, local shop installed my long tubes, cats, y pipe and deleted my resonator, joined it all to the TRD single in/dual out muffler

That's ultimately what I was hunting for. But want to keep my OEM resonator. Don't want to change exhaust note, if possible. Don't need/want louder. Just better flowing.

 

Resonator deleted and Flomaster 40 dumped right after the rear axle, with JBA y-pipe would sound tits a bet. That's what I used to have but with stock y-pipe on my 06 and it was awesome
