I'm sure there a lot of plant and fungi species that are unknown and/or not understood yet.
lots of pheromones and microscopic spores floating around in the woods.
who knows how it affects and interacts with human biology and psyche.
    something to consider.
Not to mention the crazy shit our brains do with no external influence whatsoever.

if you can't prove that something doesn't exist......then that means it exists.
So, basically,......everything and anything that you can imagine or believe exists, starts out as real and it's science's responsibility to go out in the world and prove that it doesn't.
yeah, I think that's how it works.
    look, I'll just say this:
if you've been paying attention, humans have been evolving for millions of years to get to this point.
And after millions of years, there's still only a tiny fraction of the human population that ever ends up being super intelligent.
and what have the smartest humans been interested in, and working on for 1000s of years, and especially in the last several decades?
learning about what goes on in the cosmos and getting the fuk off this planet. that should tell you something.
yes, while most of us fight over who to elect, what truck to drive, who's lawn looks nicer and chase fukin boogey men in the woods,.....the smartest of us are working on how to GTFO of here.
I don't think they'll make it before we burn this shit to the ground. which is probably a good thing.
anyway, buy a telescope and a microscope. or just some binoculars. or fuk, sit in your yard and just use your eyes and ears. there's enough fascinating shit going on right in front of our face,...that's REAL. no need to invent imaginary shit to be interested in.
    meh, what's the point.

Or go sit in that wide open forest using your eyes and ears - and hear and see what most others don’t. Humans didn’t get to this point by mistake. There are forested lands and isolated areas similar to the ocean that do possess unknowns. I won’t put to the internet any of my observations or truths because their are too many ‘contrary argue for the sake of arguing’ people who sit on their keyboard just waiting for the next one. Until you’ve stood on the African Savannah and taken 20 min to see a herd of animals
that have been there the whole time. Camouflage is real, intelligent deception is real and thats how the strong survive.

Finally! This explains the time I saw Sasquatch swimming at a backcountry lake. I thought it was a hairy albino Bigfoot but it was just a Canadian.

Well, I have had an encounter. As did my mother. Where we lived gave us several incidents of something that wasn't a bear or deer or mountain lion. Anyway, I sent a report to the BFRO website back in 2005 if you'd like to read it. Look at Pennsylvania, Clearfield County, Young boy sees creature chasing horses. I was 8 or 9 when it happened. Would have been about 1978 or so.
Anyway, I can PM you if you'd like.

Out of all the mythical creatures that we're unsure about, I think the most plausible is Bigfoot. Real species like Gigantopithecus did exist, and still may in some remote areas.

I have seen the bigfoot and actually have a clear picture of him hiding behind a tree.

I’m 100% sure life exists on other planets. But there is absolutely no way aliens are visiting Earth. It’s just not possible to find us and then travel that far. Out of the hundreds of billions of stars in our galaxy alone, with our current technology, it would take us over 50,000 years just to travel to our nearest star. Even if we were somehow able to travel a 100 times faster than that, how would anyone survive a 500 year trip? And that’s just to the one little star nearest to us. Further stars, forget about it. Warp speed, traveling through wormholes, cryosleep, building a stargate… all science fiction.

And although I don’t believe Bigfoot exists, it’s much more likely than aliens on earth.

Watch "The Kandahar Giant" on YT, I know there's people who will never even consider the possibilities, but this happened. It had 6 fingers and six toes too, just like Goliath in the Bible, it killed a team of conventional infantry before a detachment of SF guys rolled up on it, it killed one of the SF guys also but it was killed by the remaining team. Two CH-47's arrived, one took the team members body and and the SF team after they had collected the equipment and remains of the fallen infantry guys. The giant was sling loaded under the second bird and nobody ever saw it again but the word was it went straight into a hangar, then a refrigerated Conex was set up and it was flown out of country that evening. Say what you want but the villagers always told the Terps about giants, I suppose we thought it was a joke or to scare us and keep us from going to places, take from this what you will. NDA's were forced upon everyone, even the pilots.

    :D

Yes, only like 10 times. :p Great movie but highly unrealistic. What I like about it is they didn’t use any science fiction technology like warpspeed and tried to keep it realistic using traditional propulsion. When Jim tried to send the message to Earth, he was 30 years away from Earth and the message would’ve took 19 years to get to Earth. Implying that they traveled at an average of about 2/3 the speed of light. Since it’s constant acceleration, to achieve that average the ship is probably already going near light speed. Impossible in itself. Now remember the giant space rock they hit? Hitting a grain of sand near light speed would cause like a nuclear explosion. Hitting a rock the size of your ship is gonna do more damage than knock out one hibernation pod.

There’s a reason they made up the “Bhakti System” as their destination. Because space nerds like me would do the calculations and disprove the math.

    Also, Jennifer Lawrence
