My good friend's kid got fit in the face by a dog at an acquaintance's house, like, major scar, ripped a flap of face back on the side of his jaw. The owner was a lawyer, she assured them the dog had never bitten anyone and encouraged them to let her pay for the bills when they came in. After news got out, another parent approached them to inform the same dog had bitten their kid a couple years before and was supposed to be put down, but she begged to keep the dog under the terms it would never be allowed around kids again. They lawyered up and sued the fuck out of her. Dog STILL didn't have to be put down, but the kid got paid big, and it's pretty much covering his full ride thru medical school right now.

If there's one thing I hate, it's irresponsible dog owners.

I wonder how these would look on my truck with 285s? I found a set off a newer Taco (2021?) for a fair price, these are 16s, but the 17s look identical styled.

I know, but they're 17", they'll fit, and they're cheap. How you feel about this / this ? Found a line on a set 1h45m hours south in good shape for $50.

I was eyeballing some of the FJ 6-spoke, but for what most people want, I can buy new aftermarket.

 

Steelies for the off road shoes. Cant fix aluminum wheels with a jack or hammer.

Is it safe to drive without a swaybar end link..? Trying to make due for another week until the new ones come in

 

You’re 100% fine.
I run daily without one, I threw it away

Get rid of the lower portion of the link so it doesn’t come in contact with the bar during normal travel, other than that, you should be good

 

Just don't do anything crazy in the meantime, while you wait for your new end links.
If you plan to get some stiffer coil springs and shocks, I'd say ditch the sway bar all together.

 

Yaas. I drove without links for a full month. Just don’t pull any sudden swerving maneuvers or you will feel the lean (not that it isn’t completely gone with them).

 

Passenger side LBJ putting up a fight, looks like I’ve blown the joint out of my tie rod end trying to remove it. Hammering down on the crown nut and now the bolt spins freely lol. Always something



She’s toast

 

As long as you keep the other side intact so the swaybar doesn't kick down, and you yoink the rest out you're fine. Whereabouts are you exactly? I have my old low-mile OEM ones in a box still and they'll eventually need a home.

 

I was able to finish off the other side without any issue. Doesn’t look like any of these parts have been touched, completely seized up. I appreciate the offer but I’ve got a set of SuspensionMaxx extended links en route; if you had a spare outer tie rod end I’d take that hahah

 

@Hutcheson I haven't installed my SuspensionMaxx links yet but someone else recommended the following thin wrench to me for installing. I will now be passing along said reco to you my friend.

If one link is completely removed, and the other side still intact, in my mind, it should be good to go. I see a lot of “disco kits” and it’s usually just one side removed for “no sway bar” feeling

 

Yeah seems the intact side would still be somewhat affected by the bar being connected to the frame via the bushings. But I don't know, just a thought.

 

If it has nothing to flex against on the other side, it will do absolutely nothing. Maybe just squeak more?
