Just bought a 2024 trd offroad and I've got less than 2000 miles and my brakes squeak just when I'm backing up.im wondering if they need to be broken or if there is a problem already,I've owned a 2012trd and a 2020 limited and never had a issue

Common issue on these. There may be a fix talked about in another thread. Mine have been doing it since about 5K miles. It's loud and annoying. I've convinced myself it's like the big rigs that squeal when braking. They're just so heavy duty.

T-SB-0043-24 is most assuredly NOT for Smart Key Reset.

My 2023 Tundra platinum does the same thing. It has a very loud squeak when in reverse from my drive way. Seems to be more loud in the mornings than afternoons for some reason.

I took mine to the dealer and was told there’s a TSB for it and the parts are in back order. They’re gonna be replacing the front brakes but not the rear. Definitely recommend you mention it to them or else the dealership wouldn’t have even looked at the brakes when I came in for an oil change.

mine is a 23 hybrid for what it’s worth
