Been getting the P0101 code off and on for the past month or so. I clear it and sometimes it’s good for a few days, sometimes it comes back 30 minutes later. I’ve cleaned the MAF several times.

It doesn’t affect performance, A/F is still ~14.7 at idle/cruising. It’s just annoying having the light on lol.

Truck has >150k miles, OTT tuned, stock intake with dobinson snorkel, and MBRP cat-back exhaust.

Any way I can test the MAF with a volt meter? Or anything else to test?

MAFs aren't that expensive. I ended up replacing mine after several cycles of clearing the code, cleaning the MAF, and tripping the code again. In my case the oiled cone filter I was using tripped the original fault. I replaced the MAF and switched to a new dry cone filter. Problem solved.

Okay so I replaced the MAF with a new unit from the dealer, replaced it in their lot lol. Pulled the battery while installing to let it reset itself and the same code came back in less than 50 miles. I don’t visually see any wires broken.

What’s the next thing to look at?

I’d look for air leaks at, or nearby the MAF and downstream of it such as cracked hoses, loose connections, etc. Other than that, if the tuner played with the MAF scaling which I’m assuming they didn’t since the truck is NA sometimes that can be a factor. I also wonder if the snorkel could be contributing to the issue.

I’ll check for leaks, I got a buddy with a smoke machine. I don’t believe it would be the snorkel since I’ve had it for several years with no issues.
