I have a 2023 Tundra Platinum. Is there a way to see your oil life? I found an oil reset button, but can’t see if there is a way to notify you of a percentage or time for an oil change?

When you startup your truck, glance at the mileage. For about 10 seconds it will show a wrench and a mileage number. That should be the remaining mileage until your next oil change interval.

You can also find that number by cycling through the ODO button display.

A lot of other mfgs have an oil life % indicator available right in the DIC, like on my Corvette, right now down to 43%. Not sure why Toyota doesn't seem to do that. Just have to go by mileage and/or the maintenance required alert.

Agreed, our Honda Odyssey has all of the maintenance milestones and tracker in the display. Tells you what is coming up next via code, and percent remaining. i.e. , tire rotation, oil and filter, transmission fluid, etc. Toyota is behind the times.

Like others said, there’s a center in the odo, just need to press the button. I’ve heard it’s a dynamic counter so it will adjust if your driving conditions are more severe. Starts as a 10k mile counter though…

Any idea if there's a way to manually change the frequency to a lower mileage?

No idea, probably not. If I wanted to keep track of oil changes, I’d use the trip 2 odo to do it.

I miss the infotainment system on the 2nd gens. You could go in and set reminders for everything, down to windshield wiper blades. Was very helpful when out of town for a year at a time and would remind the wife to keep up with regular maintenance lol

Is there nothing like this on the 3rd gen? Oil change, tire rotation, coolant, etc? Agreed the second gen pop-up reminders make it pretty foolproof.

    Nitrogen filled tires!
Keep a spreadsheet.. oil change and tire rotation every 5K. Include pics of receipts. Dealer 5k rotation of tires is fine, but 10k oil and filter change is BS. 5k for both IMO.

I do similar... I created a really basic Access data base about 20 years ago that I still use for all my vehicles and power equipment. Vehicle, date, mileage, service, shop name or DIY, cost, etc. Easy to sort by date, vehicle, or other field. I can also attach receipts but lately I just file them into a folder.

The counter is going to start at 10,000 and work its way down. It’s going to say maintenance required right before you get to 5000 no matter what. That 5000 is technically for your tire rotation but it only says maintenance. I change my oil every 5000 so once the maintenance light comes on get I get it done.

How on earth do you do that? At best I get a “Maintenance Requires - Visit Your Dealer” message. It doesn’t show remaining life in anything.

no use...no need for a senor to tell you you need an oil change. And dont do what the manual say- 10k miles is too long....just change the oil every 5k miles.

Yelp, have one on the Tundra, one on the Venza and one on the Can-Am, keep a bunch of info on it, part numbers, schedule mx requirements, mods done etc.
