Semper Fi Teufel. Speaking of, have you meet my dog teufel? My kids joke with me so much about how he would've been a pogue. He is most definitely not a guard dog.

Took the family to the AA level team in Hartford , the were playing the Red Sox farm team, and we had early access with our tickets. We got yo the field to see the top 2 prospects in the Red Sox farm system playing catch with a football, so my son decided to join in.

    IMG_5677.jpg

Both were really down to earth, offered to sign our baseball cards without asking, and took a quick pick with my son and daughter. When the came back out, one started playing catch with my son during warmups

Just paid my annual registration renewal.
$150 of it was my personal plates, this was after a $25 state inspection.....

    upload_2024-7-11_22-4-7.png

I will say I was surprised when I asked for new plates a few months ago.
My first issued personal plates were 7 years old and getting faded.
I asked how much for them to reissue them.
It was $6.50 shipped and I had them 3 weeks later....:eek2::cool:

Got the day off today so the wife and I took the new SUP down the Salt River this morning. It's not uncommon to see the wild horses out for a drink/dip but no matter how many times you've seen it before its always amazing to see them out:

I know it’s a weird picture but this is 6 artichoke hearts and they are in some water with lemon juice. I’m gonna grill them with some homegrown pork chops and some peas from the garden, for dinner.
These artichoke hearts are delicious, sometimes I slice them after grilling and put them in a pasta salad or even a regular green salad, sometimes as whore dervies!
    So, now you know…:rofl::rofl::rofl:IMG_1671.jpg

Fucking love artichokes. We do the whole thing and dip the ends of the leaves in mayo and scrape off the goodness with your teeth, so damn good. Butter works too, but in this case, mayo > butter.

Mostly dairy stuff. Years ago we had goats and my blushing bride would milk em and make cheese and yogurt. Too much work for us now.
Some other stuff of course; fruit and vegetables fresh fish. Bulk corn on the cob, I strip, vacuum seal and freeze. I’m amazed at how low our food bill is. Can’t wait to get my hazelnuts producing, this year looks great, so far. The new plum and cherry trees look great but I don’t know if I can keep the birds off em.

Yeah, I love em that way. Stuffed too, but with a bunch of em, it’s just not practical. Sometimes I look at the leaves I tossed and it makes me sad :(

Lately we’ve been taking almost all of our elk and venison and grinding it with about 10% fat we’ve saved from our pigs. Works well for all the ground meat cooking; meat loaf, burgers, lasagna, tacos etc

I brewed for years but a couple years ago I cut way back on alcohol to try to lose weight. I didn’t quit beer but a sixer lasts me weeks. I cut back on whiskey too, only allowed on one weekend evening.
I kept all my equipment though and plan to do a few batches this coming winter

Cool. Send me some when you make a batch, oh, and might as well throw a knife in the box while you're at it. :fistbump:
