There is a factory recall for that issue.

The throttle recall is for non hybrid only. I put in a Racechip pedal controller and issue is gone.

A TSB is not a recall just to clarify, so don't be surprised when a dealer gives you a blank stare.

I had the recall done and it was better for a while. Then lag returned. I have noticed it is most noticeable when you come to your first stop shortly after a start or restart when engine is cold. I almost got T boned once trying to pull out on a busy street. I have learned to adjust my driving habit. I no longer trust it to jump off the line when I hit the gas. I just allow more space or time. Haven't had any problems since I changed how I drive. I didn’t think another round with the dealer would be fruitful. They will just say it is normal like last time I took it in and they were able to duplicate the concern.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
I did the recall update but in addition I installed The Pedal Commander. This helped a lot!

A friend installed The Banks pedal upgrade and he said it really works well.

The original Pedal Commander brand doesn’t void any warranty. It doesn’t make the truck faster it cuts down the time between the gas pedal and trucks computer.

I mean it is advertising, but hard to argue he doesn't have some points worth taking into account.

    Ya,
It’s all about competition. Of course Banks can put things out there about his competitors. Pedal Commander is who my Toyota mechanic recommended.

Genuinely curious. Your Mechanic give any insight why the preference of pedal commander over other pedal controllers?

Not a Banks fan boy or anything and don't have a pedal controller my self, just curious if you knew why.

    Ty,
Not sure, he had one in his Tacoma and one in his Tundra. He is a 30 year veteran of Toyota. So I went with what he was using. I know Banks recently put out their own version. I know Pedal Commander has been out for a while.
