Thank you. I agree it is a good looking combo. Debating if I should keep the chrome or not, ngl i do like it at times.

Thanks, I did a little cutting on the bumper caps, and put a flair to try to match the fender flairs.20231103_190240.jpg 20231104_144121.jpg

    Hey Chuck,
Awesome work on the bumper ends. Are those the “new” SAE fogs from Baja Design? If so, how do you like them? I have a set of originals I’ve been hesitant to swap out as I heard the new ones are lower output…

Skid plate question. Figured I'd start here first before creating a new thread. I have searched throughout the forum and google and can't find a solution. Does anyone know of a company that makes skid plates similar in size to the oem non trd skid plate, but with oil filter access built in? I recently installed a trd skid plate and couldn't get that thing to shut up so I took it off. I don't want a skid plate that goes all the way back like the TRD skid plate does. Thanks in advance.

Shut up???? What type of skid plate did you buy that had a speaker?

Not aware of any aftermarket skid that us the size of the stock non TRD skid. Most folks just cut a hole or square in their skid and either hinge it or add some river nuts and a slightly larger piece of metal to act as the cover.

I had the TRD Pro skid plate on there. I was getting some creeks and pops when turning the steering wheel. Removed the skid plate and problem is gone.

Some folks have that, they just add some Teflon or another form of washer between the skid plate and frame and that goes away. Weirdly it doesn't affect everyone with the TRD skid plate :notsure:

That is probably easier to resolve then moding the non TRD plate to have an access hole

I had the skid plate installed with the readylift hardware kit because I needed the space between the diff spacer and the skid plate. Maybe it was the hardware kit I'm not sure. I tried a couple times to resolve it and gave up and sold it. Couldn't believe how fast that thing sold.

Thanks, old Pic. But now have the new Baja Designs SAE fogs, might be very slightly less output than original but do a great job, especially during all the foggy days in Phoenix.

Something weird happened today while I was getting gas at Costco. The pump shut off on its own like normal. After pulled it out, gas crept up the filler neck and overflowed a little bit. It was like when your sink gets backed up and water comes up out of the drain. What in the world?

When my truck was fairly new I noticed the trim was loose. I think I used some latex caulk adhesive as a quick fix, and it’s held for years.

Most likely their fuel was still cooler than the air. Since less volume, it warmed up and expanded. You got a bonus amount of fuel.

Don't know if this helps but, took these tonight. Baja Designs SAE only light sorce, from drivers view (somewhat dusty and dirty windshield) and out of the moonroof.20240711_205637.jpg 20240711_205700.jpg
