    Damn. That blows. Thankfully you didn't have the receiver hitch in. Your truck may have been totalled due to a bent frame.

    Is it just me or can you see a perfect Lincoln emblem print in the tailgate? Reminds me of Rick James unity stamp.

    I didn't notice it until you said something. Tundra version of a tramp stamp, I guess. :rofl:

    OP...doesn't look that bad form the pics. Assuming no frame damage, it should be an "easy" claim to process. Had a similar hit on my old 2007 F-150 from a person in an Explorer hitting me. Ended up with a new tailgate and bumper, both paint matched, and the claim was done. Truck was about 5 years old at the time. Fingers crossed. Keep us updated!

    Doing an appraisal tomorrow. There's a hump in the inside of the tailgate also. It's the hitter insurance, I'll make a big deal and have them replace the tailgate instead of fixing it.
