Could overfilling them have any cause for the TPMS to fall apart? I filled my 4 tires only 5psi over just before my recent road trip to Texas and on the way back started to hear a clanking sound n couldn't figure it out what it was until I got home lifted the truck n spun my tires to find out the sensor had broken off.

    Alot of them
Were they recently installed? I have seen them get bent during installs and eventually crack and break.

Yes they were maybe 3 months prior when I took those wheels in for a powder coat than they were reinstalled. So it could be been that than, huh? Over tightened :annoyed:

Overfilling? From what base pressure are you calculating your "overfill"? And no, if you mean 40 instead of 35, that won't have any effect on the TPMS.

well I really didn't have anything against the Low range spacer lift, I have always just wanted these coil overs, finally saved up enough to get them.
I really didn't think I would tell a difference, but there's a big difference in ride and handling. I really like them!!!

Picked up some new tires for the ole girl. Went to a 275/60 - 20. Got a great deal on marketplace. Takeoff Hankook Dynapro AT2 that a guy had on his F150. Got the whole set for $425, only 20 miles on em. Love it!

Very nice. Is that that RCI Arapaho bumper? Can't decide if I will get the RCI bumper or sliders next, looking at your truck I'm thinking bumper first!

    Tastefully enhanced...
Negative...whomever installed them for you may have overtightened them or sometimes, by the law of numbers, it's just a once in a blue moon, faulty product...like Ford experiences everyday :anonymous:

yup. RCI bumper, full skids, sliders, and low-pro bed rack

it's easy when i can pick them up during the work day and buy them during the big sales. hard to argue with either of those

I just swapped my 3s for 4s today, the are quieter. I feel they are a little stiffer on the road, but that could be because my 3s had around 70k on them.

I changed mine out a month or so ago and have not noticed road difference. I know the cuts on the tires are better than the 3's helping with mud/rain.

Could be as simple as tire pressure, I haven’t checked to see what the tire shop set them at.

The Autel unit is the TS508WF. the sensors were Bartec ones that Walmart installed. I had bought some OEM sensors to have them mount them on my wheels and tires but I had the wrong ones because there are several different choices depending on if you have push to start ignition or not. I returned the sensors and went with what they had on hand so I could get out of there.

My comments were specific to not following the door frame guide for inflation if you have changed tire size or tire type. Most have moved from P tires to LT tires - more plys - and have increased size. I was referring to Falken LT 275/70r18 tires.
Pressure is dependent on tire size and tire plys as well as vehicle total weight.
    More plys = more pressure
    More weight = more pressure

Look at the Falken tire load table standards for inflation - https://www.falkentire.com/load-inflation
For LT275/70r18 tires at base weight it reflects 35 pounds.
    More weight = more pressure

And Discount Tire said the same.

I've also moved to LT tires. I happily give up a small amount of comfort to get 90k miles. I'm on the way and those roads are usually better than secondary roads.

42 psi is what I run front and back.

    Context?

No idea what you are wanting to paint. But no, never used that or seen it mentioned on the forum.

Based on previous posts he's referring to the exhaust tip. Although it would help if more details were provided or if the quote function was used.

The AT4s have a harder rubber vs the AT3s. They stopped making the AT3s now. The AT4s have like an extra 10,000 mile warranty over the AT3s because of the harder rubber. The downfall is they are slightly less grippy in wet/snowy conditions.
