We had hella water Saturday morning up here in Nutmeg State. Chunk of my yard washed away, always the exact same spot. After 10 years of bickering about it & me rebuilding it over & over, I texted the neighbor & told him I'm going to call the town about it. Suddenly he wants to come over & be part of the solution. Guess he's afraid the town won't like seeing he covered his yard in decomposed granite - effectively turning it into a cement parking lot graded to one spot that's aimed at my yard. Bastard.
I built a 5 foot berm about 6' deep & his water blew right through it.
(those two stumps - $2,000 spent to cut down dead trees that drowned from all the water that flows right between them.

I was thinking how useless short beds are. That thought train started when I saw a truck pass by on the highway. Front tire of a dirtbike in the front corner of the bed, back tire sitting on the opposite rear bedrail. Dang little motorbike wouldn't fit in the bed. I had some masonite in the bed of my truck - from bedwall, out the rear cap window & curved down towards the rear bumper.
I do miss my '01(?) F250 crew cab long bed. If that motor wasn't such absolute crap I'd still have that truck. That bed always fit everything I sent at it and the cab had room for miniature humans or even full grown humans (x6)

It was either Gulf States (GST) or South Eastern (SET). I can never keep track.

Looks awesome. I really need to shoot my damn cap. Nothing special, just 3-4 coats single stage 056. But I’ll want to pop the windows out for full coverage.

It doesn't look like the stretched the frame in the right spot and just added onto the rear just so they didn't have to extend the gas/ break lines, wires and tail shaft. And the mangled the wheel wells because they used zero brain cells

Dunno. When I see on a daily basis what an absolutely asstastic grasp of the English language a lot of native speakers have, like, native speakers who are too ignoranto to figure out when to properly use "your" vs. "you're" or "to" vs. "too", I have a really hard time knocking on anyone for making an attempt in whatever way they find convenient or know how. While I still can't figure out what "prom" is for, I can clearly read the rest of it, and I know enough Spanish I could make the deal happen if needed, it's the one thing that locked in the deal on my Waltrip grille.

Looks like everything from Corpus Christi to Galveston gonna get hammered, but stuff on the H-town/Galveston side will get the brunt of it within the next 12hrs or so. Be safe y'all.

I'm with you, having been through several dozen with a couple decades across FL. But not nearly as many hit TX, so you know, I just expect the worst in those situations.

I've had a lifted Toyota with a rear locker thru the last 12 years living in coastal TX my whole life. But I'm arguably more capable now that I have 4wd and a locker. Too bad my front diff is leaking. I'm not driving it, let alone thru high water
