Welp we bought it. Kinda fun to pull out an Amex and pay for a car

 

Anyone ever restore old furniture? My wife found this awesome chair for my office. One of our neighbors left it out by the curb. Best I can tell, it's from the 70's. One of the tags says 013173.

It was made by Howell, "a division of Burd Inc" It's in awesome shape but the bottom cushion foam is worn out. I'm thinking about trying to open it up and replace it.

 

I haven't done chairs but have done more than a few cushions on workout equipment. This is a case where an upholstery shop will do a much better job.

It's by no means hard but they do a lot better at getting the cover stretched properly over the new foam

Does anyone know the proper name or have a part number for my missing fuse box panel cover, moon mist blue is the color .

 

"moon mist blue colored", hmmm ... I think you meant it's "unobtanium colored". Yeah. I can try to run the part number down for you, but you'll probably want to buy used, many of the interior parts are coming beige these days, even if you order the correct color.

Base part number should be 55545-0C010, but it'll end with -XX, where XX is a two-digit number for the color. I think moon mist is like J0 or something, lemme verify.

Often times a "0.00 USD" price on this site means it's no longer produced in colors - i.e. if you get it, it'll be beige.

Just don't get pissed at me if it comes the wrong color, i.e. the base color, beige. You see with your own eyes it says moon mist right there in the parts catalog. But I'll keep my fingers crossed.

 

Toyota parts stated it is in fact moon mist blue. I used their online live chat and they confirmed it was not grey lol

No idea, depends on when I make it out to see family again. Most of them are around Segiun. But a few E/ESE/SE in Stockdale, Karnes City, closest anyone has lived to the city is Cibolo, but that was when it was still peppered with trailer parks, before it started converting to the burbs of SA.

Isn't his the one where it's got the weird shit wired into the headlight circuit, under the hood? I thought there was something really bizarre about it, like some homebrew shit some EE or wannabe-EE tossed together. Someone maybe mildly autistic with a love for circuits and convoluted mousetraps would design.

 

I do recall seeing some suspect wiring in some of his prior pics. I don't recall where they were though.
