There are threads back and forth about its effectiveness. But with 570 pages things get brought up frequently.

I could be wrong, but it seems like the complaints on the Radium have all been related to the redesigned model. If that’s the case, hopefully Radium looks into this.

If it makes you feel better I have a Radium too on the Tundra, though mine does seem functional--it's just MAYBE as functional as the cheapo Amazon one. The only real benefit of the Radium is the "plug and play" nature of it.

Yeah if I would have know and see the design I would have stayed away. But yeah, 570 pages is a lot to cycle through. Oh well, I will taking a trip tomorrow from Miami to Alabama, plan on almost 2k miles. We will see what happens.

    I feel better now!!!

I mean it's nice and the fact it's made for our trucks is a good selling point. It is also built very nice, but functionality wise, it needs to be redesigned.

Yep, I just pull the pad apart a bit so it fills the bowl. I also like to remove the dipstick before removing/reinstalling the bowl.

I have the dual can setup, which we all know is a waste. I think sometime this weekend I'm going to plumb both catch cans in series from the PCV and route the valve cover vent back to the intake. I'm hoping this will double the likelihood of catching blow-by precipitate AND make use of the 2nd pointless catch can.

Still makes me scratch my head about the Radium catch can working so poorly. I check my J&L every 2k miles or so and there are a couple ounces in it. I changed the oil Friday and I bet there would be something in there today. Just seems like a hard thing to screw up, I guess.

In other unrelated news that doesn’t really matter to anyone but me, I’m digging the smaller pulley and RCF throttle body setup I installed a few weeks ago. As expected, I’m seeing an extra psi or so under heavier throttle. I’m too busy watching things fly by at light speed to actually watch the gauge at WOT, but logs say it’s increased as well. The truck seems to like the setup and is idling super smooth, as well. A little more pep with a little less pedal.

However, I’m getting an occasional stumble/jump just off idle. Barely noticeable and I’m not readily able to duplicate it. I was fiddling with plug gap a while back and stretched the gap a little. I plan on putting it back to recommend, but haven’t been able to wait for a cool motor to pull the plugs. Wondering if that could be the cause.

They "improved" their design within the last year or so. The old can work fine but doesn't have the bypass.

My local parts yard has 6 of them. Wonder if I should grab them for $75. Would have to find 2 others.
**Only issue and why so cheap is he is not sure of the mileage. Think I'll grab my meter and test em out. I have to get a fender for my son's car anyways, so no loss on going there.

So, does anyone know at what's the highest speed/rpm you can cruise at and not be in boost?

Whatever this forum told me to do
    Some related cannon fodder

    I cruise at 60 mph at -10

headwind will drop me to -7

    70mph cruise is -7

so, I would guess somewhere north of 100 would put you in positive MAP.

Found 4 out of 6 that were decent looking, not bad for $47. Now to find 4 more...looking forward to some testing.

Boost is effectively slaved to throttle position, so speed and rpm don't really matter. If you're manually downshifted into 1st you could be at 5k doing 12mph and not be in boost, likewise you could do 100mph at 5k or 2k and not be in boost.

My truck with 5.29s will do 100mph and be at like 2900rpm and not be in boost and cruise like that fine.

5.29 gears with a supercharger and headers is insane. I actually think my truck gets better mpg than it did 100% bone stock. I think once you lay the tune down it actually feels better especially with a big truck.

@snivilous thanks for tuning my truck all last week. Made 8psi @ only 82% duty cycle @ 6k RPM. Truck feels like a Ferrari! That sniv tune is no joke if anyone’s looking for a solid setup.

I didn't notice much if any difference with the gears actually, it's revved out but it's essentially at idle the whole time so it cancels out. And anything besides totally flat ground, a stock geared truck in my experience is running one if not two gears lower, so really apples to apples most of the time compared to stock gears and the engine is revved out the same, just I'll be cruising in 6th instead of 5th or 4th.

I had forgotten how much of a difference the gears made until I drove that Tundra I worked on which was otherwise the same as my truck but with stock gears. On the interstate with cruise control at 85 his truck was 5th gear all the time, sometimes 4th. Where as my truck took a decent hill to even enter boost in 6th, let alone be forced into 5th. So in a lot of ways from how revved out the engine is, it's not much different than stock, unless it's a scenario where a stock geared truck can actually maintain 6th gear, which isn't the case for how/where I drive at least.
