What would you need? Would a paper-traced template work? If so, I've got white cardboard slabs, I've got some heavier Post-It meeting room paper easel things, I can trace to whatever is easier and shoot it your way. Or would pics suffice?

Swapped wheels with the Tundra & Taco. I think the Ultra Motorsports look better on the Tundra than the snowflakes. More offset, and more tred on the tires. I think i put 1k miles on the Taco over the last year, conemplating selling it but it's too hard to let go of a paid off truck.20240702_165628.jpg 20240702_165556.jpg 20240702_165737.jpg

Market is still apparently great for Tacos. I see DC that look like yours going for $13k-16k over here, and those are the shit ones. I'm perpetually keeping eyes out for a 25+ year old Taco (emissions exempt), but it's rare to find anything under $6k-7k, even the utter garbage ones.

I can do it based on a reference photo like the previous shield you posted. A common reference (like a dollar bill) works, but your 1"x1" grid is luxury.

I'll get it done and post up when I make it happen.

Which side of my mat is better, lighter or darker? (I also notice I was off-kilter on the darker mat image above)

I tried so hard to find Henry Rollins saying "Duly noted" after reading fan mail on the Rollins Show. This'll have to suffice...

    Speaking of.
My off-brand Tundra was pulling left. Stopped in to see the mechanic Saturday & he was slow, said leave it I'll look at it later. Okay. Walked home.
I'm not home 1/2 hour & he shows up to drop off the truck. That's service! Turns out I had a bubble in the tire, another going bad tire & two change 'em or don't tires. Damn, I don't want to buy 4 tires right now.

Ended up going to the tire shop with the 1GTaco. Had them put on the wildpeaks & pull the 2018 Taco take offs off. Then I had them pull the rubber off the take-offs & mount it on the off-brand Tundra rims. Forgot the lugnuts for the rim swap on the Taco - darned if the tire shop didn't have the new guy drive me home to get the lugnuts & other truck. Had him drive one of the two trucks home after too. More good service. So unexpected, but nice to experience for a change. And for the price of 1 tire I basically got 4 "new" tires onto the O-B Tundra & (finally) got the wildpeaks back on the Taco.

off note, insurance asked for the mileage on the O-B Tundra for low mileage discount & my estimated annual mileage. Ran the numbers & my estimated mileage is 3400 miles. That number is based on past use which includes a couple months the car was out of service. That's not a lot of miles - I need to go more places or maybe I should own less vehicles. Certainly not getting full value out of my road use taxes, insurance fees...

I don't blame you. I had two prerunners and I loved those trucks. A 99 and 03. If one was 4wd, I'd probably never have traded for my tundra

I always wanted a FGT and it's been awesome, only had it 1 year so far. Been thinking of selling the Taco and getting a small camper but everytime I drive the Taco I feel it's a part of me I can't let go of, it's too fun to drive even though I now like the Tundra more. Both trucks are paid off so no reason to get rid of either.

I totally get that. I always felt the tacos were one with me and when I got the tundra, I also felt that same way. It was like a roided out taco haha

I feel like the Tundra is the right size for daily life. The Taco is the right size the unpaved places.

Weekend work: greased all the zerks and built myself some fishing rod holders. We’ve been fishing a lot more lately and I keep waiting for myself to slam a rod in the tailgate or lose an eye from a hook hanging up over the tailgate. I figured it would be best to get them organized. Kind of ended up looking like a porcupine… meh. It works.
