I am not at all a mechanic so could someone kindly help me understand the following that was posted in another thread. Now as owners of a new Tundra is there a maintenance requirement to replace crankshaft bearings periodically? So schedule me in for an oil change and a bearing change at 40k!! And what is the cost for this service?

    About this product
The Crankshaft Bearing Set #1 (#11701-70041-05), a critical component in the Engine-Fuel category, serves a vital role in the Crankshaft & Piston system of Toyota vehicles. Its primary function is to reduce friction between the rotating crankshaft and stationary engine block, allowing smooth power transmission from the engine to the wheels. Comprising of split-shell bearings, the bearing set achieves this by forming a thin film of oil between the components. However, due to continuous wear and tear, the crankshaft bearings require periodic replacement. If not replaced, a worn-out bearing set might cause excessive engine vibration, leading to potential damage.

We need to have a bingo card:
    - Toyota isn't what it used to be
    - Volvo would never do this.
    - I wasn't having problems but I sold my Gen3 and took a bath. Im really pissed about it.
    - There's no way the lube mechanic can do a bearing service
    - My dealer is no longer interested in my trade/ I had to park 1/4 mile away because the lot has 200 tundras on it.

Found this on a dealer website.

    10,000 Miles or 12 months
Everything from the previous maintenance, plus:

    • Replace the cabin air filter.
    • Replace engine oil and oil filter.
    • Replace the crankshaft bearings.
    • Visually inspect the brakes, brake pads, brake lining, and brake discs.
In order to have an oil change at this stage, use full synthetic oil that meets Toyota’s standards for quality, such as genuine Toyota oil.

Would probably be a good idea to change around 500,000 miles city, 1.5 million miles highway.

OP, crankshaft bearings are not typically a periodic maintenance item. They should generally last for the life of the vehicle.
