I mostly drink the cheap stuff like Forty Creek but I can only drink it neat for whatever reason. Tried it on the rocks one time and I had to add ginger ale to be able to finish it.

I just got off the Shady Ray bandwagon. I used to always promote them to anyone that asked. Their quality has dropped drastically, I bought from them back when they were new on kickstarter and I bought their lifetime program that was supposed to allow me replacements for life. They’ve since cancelled out that program and changed their policy to 2 replacements per pair, which is still good, but seeing how cheap the quality has become, the $20 “service fee” still has plenty of profit in there for them.

Last week I picked up my first pair of Maui Jim’s and a pair of Oakley’s. Currently shopping for a pair of Randolph’s. Still have a few sets of Shady Rays and some Blenders to beat up on when needed.

Luxotica. They own almost every brand now including Costa. My eye dr. has told me it’s almost impossible to get parts to repair them now. When Costa was based out of Daytona warranty issues were non-existent. I sent a pair in once to get the ear stems replaced and they sent me a brand new pair. Where I work now, we can use our vision plan up to $220.00 for sunglasses and it’s a use or lose it deal. Costa, Maui Jim, Ray Ban is pretty much all we wear now. I’ve got a pair of Costa Brines I’ve had for maybe 10 years I use at the beach.

I ordered a couple pair of Shady Rays.
A decent pair to drive and cheaper junk pair.
We'll see if I like them.
The frame on one of them is comparable to MJ frame.
I'll try them a day or 2 and return them if is doesn't work out.
I tried an MJ frame before and can't remember what I didn't like about them and returned them.

I'm pretty good taking care of my sunglasses, whatever return policy of damage or loss SR offers is better than what Oakley offers.
Not even sure how I scratched the lens on my Oakleys, I put them in a bag when I don't have them on.

I just need a decent pair of lightweight frameless or thin-framed sunglasses that are good for all-day wear and driving.
Something that will stay on my face and then be able to put them on top of my head without falling off when needed.
You wouldn't think that would be so hard to find..

I don't mind paying good money for something I use 10-12 hours a day every day.
But I'm so damn picky on what that is..:eek2:

This, 100% agree with this. Most the time I'm my own worse enemy and realize I'm not picking stuff that shouldn't matter but I know it would bother me every time I use the product.

Hope they work out for you, I expect to pick up a pair of their Talons before the year is up. I have a few pair of the Oakley Flak 2.0 and the Talon seem like an "equivalent" design.

I'm so picky about the dumbest stuff.
I'll be in a shoe store trying on 12 pairs of sneakers or work boots and still walk out with nothing.
I now order 3 or 4 pairs online and try them at home, returning what I don't want.

Randolph Aviators - they aren’t the same as the Ray Ban Aviators (Randolph calls that style “The Concorde”). Their aviators were designed for pilots to wear all day and have the bayonet style stems. I think I now have around 6 pair (they offer a hell of a military discount).

    Fuck
Guess i need to get a pair
I don’t want to ruin my Oakley flak jackets

I’ve only ever owned five pair of sunglasses in my life’s since age 16, and still own two of them.
My original pair was a set of ugly-as-fuck Oakley sub-Zero (which I now see they’ve bright back in a “reimagined” version).
In college I had a pair of E-Wires and another pair that looked more like the a safety glasses that I don’t remember the name of.
When I graduated college 26 years ago, I sold a buddy my E-wires and got Square-wires instead - still have those and keep them in the truck as spares. I’ve replaced the lenses once and the ear socks and nose things.
About 16 years ago I bought a pair of Flak Jackets customized and those are still my daily wear. I’m on my second set of lenses and third set of ear socks.

I wish I still had my flak jackets. Dad's dog chewed the up. Got a pair of half jacket 2.0 and they're not the same. I still have a pair of Juliet's I bought in 2008. Those are my favorite and never come out of the truck.

I always wanted a pair of Juliets

Aviator style glasses just don’t work on my head. Also look like an idiot if I wear the M-frame style glasses.

Couple years ago I had tried on a pair of Romeo's. They were too big and fell off if I was moving around. Too small of a head for them. I didn't like the look of the m frames so never even tried them.

I picked up a pair off of eBay. I still haven't switched them out. It's Murphy's law, them minute I do I'll scratch them. So still have the original lenses. A few scratches but I'll wait until I "need" to change them out.

Jesus... that is super impressive. I used to buy the party pack of Knockarounds when I was in college and a pair was $14 but they sold a random 10 pack for cheap. I broke soooo many playing ultimate Frisbee drunk or just other shenanigans being a dumb male

I also miss Oakley having their OakleyVault and buying discounted glasses.

I've found that when I put my shades on top of my head it stretches them out and then they tend to fall off my face if I'm wearing them and look down. I put one of the arms in the front of the collar on my shirt when I go inside.

either way hope your new shades work out for you.
