Has anyone noticed or is this supposed to happen?
I was driving and noticed that when coasting in my 2023 Toyota Tundra Hybid; the oil gauge was on the light bar show no pressure while I was coasting and it moved up when I applied the gas. It did this when the car was warmed up and did a lot. I really never noticed this until recently. It seem like to me that the oil gauge was always on. I have the digital bar light gauge. Is this suppose to do this?

Oil pressure should rise with RPM, and fall when RPM decreases. Totally normal.

Your engine is shutting off and relying on the hybrid battery power. It’s a good thing. I get 20 mpg cause of it. Can just cruise for a mile or 2 at time on only the electric battery at 40mph.

Yep normal your gas engine is not on thus it has no oil pressure while the electric motor runs the truck.

I noticed this too when I drive. Mines is a 24 SR5 Premium TRD OR non-hybrid though (about 2 months old now with 1.7k miles). I notice that its usually in the middle then when I press the gas pedal, it'll spike up a little (not pass 3/4 though) then drops to the middle again. It'll also go down a little to. I don't have a heavy foot either so I barley ever floor my truck, and I'm always in ECO mode too. Not sure if that has anything to do with it versus not being in Normal Mode. Weird because I never noticed this in my 20 4Runner or my other Toyota cars, I was also worried that this was related to the "engine recalls" but mines is not affected (yet?).
