Does anyone have any suggestions to getting the chromed end caps on the front and rear bumper either paint matched or replaced. My dealership quoted me 600 each side. I feel to be ridiculous.

My buddy said plasty dip??? Never heard of it. Doesn't it wash off?

I see the Plastic black covers on the internet but my dealership says they don't come with reinforcement and not to get them.

Also I have a 2014 to 2017 limited grill with hood bulge. What's the easiest way to sell it?

Personally I would have them powder coated. Second choice would be to wrap them. Last, plastidip.

This ^^^ unless you know a paint guy who will hook you up. Or you contact @Roman And see what he can do.

As far as the chrome limited grills, those seem to be a dime a dozen around here but maybe someone locally needs one so I'd try Craigslist.

So 1200 for your bumper ends to be painted? That is ridiculous. And of course your dealership said not to get anything else because they see an easy hustle. Go to a local auto body shop and I bet you'll get both painted for less then half that

Your truck is black right? I bet you can get black wrap cheap and try it yourself, it should be a slide match in color.

I know a paint guy so I’ll see what he can do once I get the truck next week. Otherwise I’ll get some color matched paint and do it myself. There are lots of tutorials on the process - sanding, adhesion promoter, primer, paint, clear coat.

A little of this and a little of that.

I had chrome front corners and tried plasti dip almost a year ago and it’s held up fine. It doesn’t wash off. I would get the corners either painter or powder coated (If you can drop that coin).

As far as selling your grille, list it on this forum, CL, and FB Tundra pages, that’s what I’d do.
    Good luck

I've learned by watching others try, you gotta have 50 posts before you're allowed to sell here....

@Sean266, are you the right person to ask? Can you direct me/us to where these rules are posted? I only figured this out after I saw another new member tried to sell something and his ad wouldn't post. I just read the forum rules and don't see it there, not on Marketplace either....

I'm not tryin' to be a pain, just want to be able to help others get started. Also, if it's easy to find this info, maybe some guests would sign up earlier, knowing they gotta be part of the community awhile before participating this way....

It's on your profile page. From thread, go to the top to where it says You, select that, then look through the list of stuff associated with your profile. When you wrote this you hadIMG_2203.jpg 32. It's labeled messages.

I'm about to tear my '17 Tundra apart and install the Pro Grill and Spyder headlights. At the same time, I'll remove the chrome end caps for either powder coating or Bullet Liner. Has anyone lined (Bullet, LineX, Rhino) theirs?

looks sweet. I want to do the same to my front end caps. I just put the pro grille on. Do you have video or something you watched showing you how to take them off?

I've been looking to do the same. If there is a video of how to remove the endcaps that would be very helpful.

There is a really good write up with pictures (and some humor) on this site, from what I recall. Search around a bit. I am a pretty handy and patient guy, and I thought removing and reinstalling the front end caps was a total PITA. I understand the rear caps are even more of a PITA.
