On its way to VCheng. I was wrong about shipping being cheep. $15 from DE to NY in a padded envelope but still cheaper than buying. All good and enjoy! Hope it gets around a bit.

Glad you guys are enjoying your Carista. You do realize that if everyone did what you all are doing, we wouldn't have this fine tool. Go buy one yourselves you cheap bastards!

 

I am well aware of that, sir. It is just that in the past, I have been stung by such minimodules that do not seem to work very well. If this one does deliver - which I am treating as merely a demonstration unit made available by the good folks in this great forum - I fully intend to get one of my own, and perhaps even maintain a subscription, precisely for the point that you mention.

 

Not to derail anything, but seemed like a good place to ask; is the Carista the preferred setup OBD scan tool for the Tundras specifically or are there any others you would recommend checking out? Thanks.

Are there any additional suggestions when using the Carista besides these three?

- Disable fake engine noise
- Disable seatbelt chime
- -2 climate control

 

..the auto '3 blinks' to '5 blinks' is popular.

 

I have one that I am willing to ship as long as that person is willing to ship to the next.
