What package is color matched

Looking at a 2021 Tundra Limited TRD and I've found two. One has color matched bumpers but the other doesn't. What package option is the color matched?

What other different options are on the color matched vs the non-color matched? I can't seem to find any differences in their options other than the bumper and sunroof.

 

It might be the TRD Off-Road Package that has the built-in color match.

However, there are products on the market that will allow you to save a little cash and still have a great looking truck

 

TRD off-road does not guarantee color match. I had a fully chromed out 21 with TRD off-road package.

I believe it is TRD sport premium that is color matched from the factory. I believe this also includes the hood scoop and rear sway bar from factory

 

Also the platinum trim is color matched, except for the mirror caps and door handles (which makes no sense)

 

I have a '18 TRD Sport that is color matched.

But your post is specific to the Limited

I don't know all the details for all the options out there but it could be that previous owner dechromed the truck
I'm assuming they are both used

 

I have a base SR5 with the SX package and it was color matched all, except for the side view mirror caps.

Both trucks are 2021 Limited with TRD off-road (no sport) package. I can't find any differences other than one is color matched with a sunroof and the other has chrome bumpers and no sunroof. Both trucks have less than 20k miles with no aftermarket items so I find it unlikely an owner dechromed one.

Just wondering what package option added the color matched and sunroof and if there is any other differences that I'm missing

 

Could be nightshade edition, those are limited only and have color matched everything with black wheels and black emblems. A tell tale sign of a nightshade edition is the lack of the 5.7 badge, black wheels, and a black tundra emblem on the door.

Does the Sx package come with the larger of the two gas tanks? 38gal?

 

I beleive it does. I looked at a couple SX's before I bought my truck.

 

My 2021 1794 TRD OR came with a color matched rear bumper but the chrome front bumper. I didn't like how they didn't match each other so I changed out the front to match.

As for the rear bumper, my understanding was that the chrome bumpers are not compatible with BSM, so if the truck has BSM, it has to have the color matched rear bumper, but I am not at all positive about this.

 

Yes this is correct. BSM requires the color matched plastic rear bumpers. But the front will still be chrome.

 

If a limited of that model year has color matched rear bumper ends, it may have BSM and RCTA.

Had a trd off road with chrome bumper and an sr with chrome bumper. Now have a sport that is color matched. Not sure if this helps just throwing it out there that there are options

 

I know the blind-spot monitors (or w/e sensors are in the bumpers) do not work with the chrome bumpers. That is why sometimes you will see chrome on front bumper but color-matched on rear.
My 2019 Limited (non-TRD) is all chrome and I have no BSM.

My sr was a 2010 so no sensors. The other 2 have them but I turn all that crap off. I’m a trucker so I know how to use my mirrors

 

Have you looked into upgrading it to the larger tank? If so, what's the cost of that upgrade?

 

No I haven't. Haven't had the need to do it. Even when I when on a 3k mile trip, I didn't mind the 26 gallon tank.

I have seen the Limited and Platinum trim levels with matching color bugle, surround, end caps, valance and rear bumpers. All other trims comes with chrome front end

 

I have also seen some SR5 and TRD Pros with color matched front ends.

 

My 2020 Tundra SX package is colored match all the way around. I swapped out the front grill as well.

I have the smaller of the two.... I think its the 28 gallon fuel tank.

 

My TRD sport and platinum trucks has color matched bumpers and grills. The TRD had black mirror caps and door handles. The platinum had chrome.
