02 sensor wiring

    2001 Tundra sr5
    Installed Denso 02 sensor just now and need to splice wires into harness. Wires on sensor and in harness are different colors. I could wire it in like it was and hope it works, or make sure with some assistance. Wires on old sensor are same color as one replacing it. Might be a Denso like the one I bought..20240619_154630.jpg

    I put new Deno sensor in and erased code. Drove 2 miles and light came back on. O'Reilly scanned and it came up with PO155 fault in bank 2 sensor 1 02 heater elec circuit for predetermined period of time. Must need to replace the upstream sensor now? Yesterday it was the number 2 sensor I just replaced. WTF?

    Never cut the O2 harnesses. I can't say this enough. It should never be necessary unless the harness is physically damaged.

    If the sensor you bought isn't plug-and-play, you bought the wrong sensor. Always get the "exact fit" sensor, not the "universal".
