We used to be professional drivers.
No beards, the mustache had to be above the edge of the lip, no visual tats, hair cut clean, no longer than the top of the collar, no sideburns lower than the ear lobe, no jewelry for men (other than a wedding ring), and women could only wear stud earrings and have their hair up.



Sounds a little extreme these days, but I never had a problem with it for 38 years.
Hell, men or women couldn't wear shorts in the early years of my package car days, that was a bit of an issue..

Thank you, that explains what we see here....Ladies in the polo's and the guys with full beards plus those with Manchoo's ...BUT we have a middle

aged Gent who still has "Creased" long pants and or shorts ( tis 100 down here..)

 

I couldn't care less what the package delivery person looks like or wears as long as my shit arrives on time and undamaged.

 

Some guys (usually older) refuse to wear the shorts.
Without the beard, hair, and tat restrictions, we've got drivers that look like they are homeless.
From Duck Dynasty beards to deadlocks......

And yes, I have several tats, but that can all be covered with a short-sleeved shirt..

I had typed out a long response to this but decided not to post it.
I know you wouldn't give a shit.

To summarize, you're just a customer.
Customers are way down the list of priorities these days.
#1 priority is stockholder profit.

Hope your shit arrives on time and undamaged..

 

On one of my jobs I sent the entire crew of a subcontractor (fire sprinklers) home, their first day on the job. I told them to come back wearing long sleeve shirts and no visible piercings or don’t come back.

 

Without customers there's no profit for stockholders.

 

I’m 68 now and plenty used to the gray. Not getting bald yet either. What is annoying is my eyebrows do sort of a Gandalf thing and sometimes actually curl down into my eyes.
Of course the older you get the more you have growing out of your ears and nose, lol

 

I crack 40 this fall and I’m not happy that I’m already dealing with all of that lol.
