General Supercharger Thread

This sounds a lot like when he was teasing having multiple maps that could be switched on the fly, or a patch disabling ethanol sensing, etc. If I remember right he claimed he could add functions on the newer tundras because it had extra unused memory or processing power or something. Not sure if any of those features actually made it to a customers truck.

 

Sold my OEM non-cut cats for 200$ locally. Helped out another Tundrian keep their rig alive.

 

I have the flex ecu if you want to play with an ecu that won't be missed if it's lost.

 

Not trying to dog pile or dredge up disdain, but ALL of those claims were from the same guy?!? I remember seeing the claims, but never looked in to them as the didn't apply to me at the time.

 

Yes, years ago he bit off more than he could chew & was no longer permitted to be a vendor.

 

He was working on a lot of really cool tundra stuff at one point. Some of it was good, some of it didn't pan out, some of it only worked on certain trucks. Then he got the boot from the forum.

 

I used OTT tune, or it was orange virus tuning back then for my 16 Tacoma. This was when his tuning solution was one of the first to hit for new 3.5 V6. Had multiple occasions where I went into limp mode and had multiple revisions sent. Long story short I sold that shit for the Tundra for it wasn't cutting it. Many moons ago....

I had never seen north of 9lbs over 90 degrees, it's 111!

I have 1/4 tank, gassed it turning left, had the starvation & sounded like several M16s! lol

 

Best kind of mod in those temps - the kind you drop off and pick up a new animal when they call saying it's done.

 

I had OV Tune on my Tundra, it worked alright, certainly better than the TRD tune I had before that. But jumped on HP Tuners and Viktor the instant that came out.

 

Also, he said the driver side was so stuck it took heat, pry bars & over an hour getting it off. Had I been able, I'd have been driving to him or towing it depending on what else was disassembled so it's a damn good thing it was different, he quoted 2 hours & it took 6!

 

I believe it. It kicked my ass. Need to still rethread one stud but couldn't get my die on to turn for the space is so limited.

 

I got mine thinking I was lowering boost pressure! Lol

 

I thought less back pressure = less boost too.

Same here, I just can't remember if I got the 12" or 10" DD back when. I need to remeasure.

 

I went back to oem maf, for now. My truck and another are the odd ones out...
Although I did send the other one having issues some maf scaling and info for his tuner.

2017 LX570 here. Can the current Magnuson setup be installed on my truck?

 

Welcome, yup, same motor (quality crafted in Japan with better materials) so better

 

I know there is a 2018 running a Harrop 2650 and the Magnuson and Whipple will fit also.
@Land Bruiser is the one I know of.

 

Any one over the other easier to tune? I want safe and drivable. 20K miles a year on this truck. Just passed 100K not too long ago.

They are all good. Harrop stage 1 needs bigger injectors and a tune.
